WASHINGTON — Republican Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts says he will support a sweeping financial regulatory bill, moving the bill closer to the 60 votes it needs to ultimately win final approval.
Brown joins Sen. Susan Collins of Maine as two crucial Republican votes for the legislation.
Democratic leaders were still looking to secure the 60 votes needed to overcome procedural hurdles. They were awaiting word from Republican Sens. Olympia Snowe of Maine and Charles Grassley of Iowa, who supported an earlier Senate version.
Brown won concessions in the bill and said Monday that the legislation "is a better bill than it was when this whole process started."
Brown needs to be soundly defeated when he is up for re-election. He would not have won without the support of conservatives and now thinks he can move radically to the left and that conservatives will stick with him because “they have nowhere else to go”. Conservatives must run a primary candidate against him and, if unsuccessful, then stay home in droves on election day. If he wants to cater to the left, then let him try to defeat a Dem with only their support. He won’t stand a chance.

My point has been (for years)is to get the liberal senators out of the conservative states and replace them with conservatives then we will not have to rely on RINO’s from liberal states to save the day.
Why are you not complaining about some of the senators from states I mentioned? Should North Dakota have 2 senators, each serving for years and end both with a conservative rating in the teens?
I will vote for a RINO in the general because I will guarantee you the Dem. will be an out right socialist and will vote 100% against what I want.
Any ways with your attitude we will never win back the senate and this country will slip farther and farther into socialism. With your energy beating up on old RINO Brown Boy from Mass and not the 20 + extreme liberal senators from very conservative states we are doomed.

Scott Brown’s FB page is lighting up big time. 50-1 are bashing him.....and rightfully so.
Good! He’s done in 2012, and he can forget about ever successfully running for POTUS. I’m back to not having a US Senator.
I plan on calling both offices (BOS & DC) later in the week and politely telling them that this voter has washed his hands of him.
Will it matter? No. But don’t ask me for $ or to donate my time ever again.
He was gonna vote crappy on some things, that was always clear. If he wants a full term he’d better not alienate his supporters too much.

did Brown signal support for confirming Elena Kagan? If he did vote NO on Kagan, the Boston Globe and Havard will give Brown hell.
Getting him in in MA was a great thing. Any hint of talk about him in a national role is just crazy. But the less I have to think of RINOs in blue states, the more peaceful I am.
