The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will propose a resolution this week condemning racism within the tea party movement.
The resolution, scheduled for a vote as early as Tuesday by delegates attending the annual NAACP convention in Kansas City, calls upon all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.
NAACP leaders said the resolution was necessary to make people aware of what they believe is a racist element within the tea party movement.

Among the charges lodged against the tea party in the resolution:
Tea party supporters have engaged in explicitly racist behavior and displayed signs and posters intended to degrade people of color generally and President Barack Obama specifically.
Tea party activists have used racial epithets, have verbally and physically abused black members of Congress and others, and have been charged with threatening public officials.
Tea party supporters also have a distorted view of race relations, the resolution says, citing poll data that found that 25 percent believe that the Obama administrations policies favor blacks over whites, and 52 percent believe that too much has been made of the problems facing black people, compared with 28 percent of the general population.

Lt. Col. Allen West: Id put the New Black Panthers on a terror watch list
LOL bttt
Are they still boycotting South Carolina?
Megyn Kelly: Those comments were disgusting (King Shabazz)
Malik Zulu Shabazz: I still believe that the right-wing Republican conspiracy is manipulating his words....
WHAT??!!!
It's like the EPA. They started out cleaning up pollution. Now they are bent on carrying out socialism through the AGW hoax. Killing business seems to have priority with them far above regulation pollution.
Did these idiots also send the same message to the black panther party scumbag who wants to kill whitey and cracker babies? I THOUGHT SO! HYPOCRITICAL RACIST PROGRESSIVE BOOT LICKERS WHO WILL DO ANYTHING TO SIT AT THE BIG TABLE including selling thier brothers and sister out!
The GOP is going to elect several black CONSERVATIVES to the House this fall...I wonder if they’ll start their own caucus..surely they won’t joing the CBC...
Makes me think back to a guy asking for money at my door. When I said no, he asked if I had heard this town was a racist town. I said, "Why yes, the blacks here are extremely racist." He huffed and said that's not what he meant, "blacks can't be racist."
I guess he didn't realize asking a white person if he's racist is a racist thing to do.
They should look into the facts before they decry.
It just makes them look foolish and they lose credibility.
There’s a pot and kettle joke in here somewhere...
The argument that the black racists offer is that blacks can’t be racist because they don’t have the power to impose that racism on others.
Tell that to non-blacks getting beat down 9 to 1.
Tell that to people being threatened at the polling place.
Tell that to people not being hired or admitted to college because a “minority slot” had to be filled.
Yes. But to no effect.
Amen, and tell that to all the folks who are simply afraid to say or do the right thing because they may be called a racist.
But I guess they’re okay with the New Black Panthers.
FUNAACP
Oh for cryin’ out loud.
And their proof of these allegations is WHAT?
The Tea Party movement has already decried any such behavior. It is so scarce as to be practically undetectable, and, truth be told, is probably from infil-traitors from their own beloved left!
There is no resemblance between today's NAACP and the organization at its inception.
The resolution isn’t worth the contents of a bedpan.
