A new financial report filed Sunday evening showed Sarah Palins political action committee has taken its fundraising to a higher level and suggests that she has begun building a more sophisticated political operation in place of a bare-bones organization powered mostly by her rock star status and scrappy on-line presence.
The report, filed with the Federal Election Commission, shows that Palins political action committee raised more money in the second quarter of this year $866,000 than it had in any previous three-month stretch since Palin formed the group in January 2009.
The committee, Sarah PAC, also spent nearly twice as much $742,000 as it had in any previous quarter, the lions share of which went to the type of list-building and fundraising (including its first major direct-mail campaign) that typically undergird top-tier political committees. It also reported its biggest-ever round of donations to candidates $87,500 and its highest outlays for travel costs, including $17,000 on private jet fare to crisscross the country for high-profile political speaking gigs, and speechwriting. It also showed continued payments for that speechwriting as well as foreign and domestic policy consulting, and its first ever payments to a scheduler.
In short, for the first time since the 2008 campaign when she was the vice-presidential running mate to GOP presidential candidate John McCain, Palin is supported by a political operation befitting someone considering a presidential run.

Nice (and properly used) Belker-like insult!!
Dogbreath?
LOL!!
I'm a cop and you...are BUSTED! That Belker?
Giggle. I was really mad...
you know it!
;-)
I get so upset when I see it.
It reminds me of when I was playing football in school. We would run right through all the vicious hot summer days together, we spent the winter in the weight room together. We all took the same lashing from the coaches. We were supposed to be united going into very physical games on Friday nights in the fall..
and there you would have two guys on the team fighting eachother other something that has nothing to do with 1. doing good in school.. 2. winning the football game Friday night.
I know some say that is normal. when a group of people are together...
but for me, I have tolerance for such a thing..
We sweat together and we bleed together.. and then we fight eachother ? That doesn’t seem right to me. It felt so wrong.
I feel the same about fellow conservatives. Our country is in trouble. And these guys are beyond legit policy disagreements, they are just taking pot shots at anyone who support Governor Palin.
You are apparently too dense to see that there are those that will choose a different candidate. Many are not ready to crown Palin 2 years ahead yet. Coming together happens after the primaries not before.
Trying to force people to be on the same page does not work, as you can see. It is the source of your frustration. Besides criticism makes candidates stronger. You are never going to get everyone on the bandwagon, it won’t happen. That is life.
Get yourself a copy of a song from a way back called “I Can’t Make You Love Me”
*sigh*
Other candidates ?
Palin already has the nominatiom if she runs..
Can you name anyone else likely to run who is worth more than a bucket of warm spit ?
Saying it doesn't make it so. I don't know a single Republican in real life who'd vote for her in a primary. She certainly doesn't have my support.
There is nothing else in life that I would bet on, other than the sun rising tomorrow.
Nobody can out work her, and nobody can out campaign her. A good well rounded candidate with just as much charisma,.. might give her a run for her money. it would be a 50/50 in that case
I don’t even see anyone NEAR that profile on the national stage yet.
Right there is exactly the problem. Do you know, there are people openly stating, in this forum, that they will not vote for her should she become the nominee? Can you believe that? Really, it's a good thing that this is all in cyberspace because at this point, I'm physically & verbally confronting stupid people. I couldn't believe it. As much trouble as this Nation is in, and they have the audacity to openly state they will not vote is borderline treason in my mind.
I don't remember this type of fractioning when Reagan ran; I mean everyone seemed to be completely focused and times were not as bleak. They were bad, don't get me wrong...but this time we are actually looking at the possibility that we may not make it out of this...and we have this kind of thing going on? It's beyond comprehension to me.
We’ll see then. I know you don’t like to admit, but Palin is a polarizing figure. For every guy like yourself who adores here, there is one like me that who would vote for anyone who opposed her. You see the scion of small town America, and I see a rube with a grating accent and doe in the headlight eyes.
We are talking about primary voters in Iowa and South Carolina..
and..
rube ? How can you talk that way about a good woman. Everything we know about her suggests she is a good person. For anyone who thinks she is a “rube” is either a viciously partisan liberal democratic woman or a metrosexual male with vagina envy. She can’t control her accent. And you will not see a doe in the headlights when she starts rolling on the campaign trail.
Would you vote for Obama opposed to her ?
Mitt Romney ?
I’m not a Romney fan, but over Palin? Any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Obama vs Palin? I’d have a hard time convincing myself that there was any reason left to vote at all. Might as well spend that afternoon drinking as I’m going to be unhappy with the results no matter who wins. However, I’m going to do everything I can to keep it from getting to that point.
'Oh but that's different!!!!'.
ha.
You’re both 100$ spot on with the hypocrisy. Its only worth crying about endorsing RINOs when its Palin and McCain. Everyone else is ok or can be excused for doing so. Sad, really.
Um, aren’t you the one who complains on threads about name calling?
Man, I can not WAIT until ‘their guy’ jumps in the ring so I can pull up old quotes to use against a position ‘he’ has clarified or change.
