Ripped on a nail? Man, those are nasty cuts.
I’m glad the tall lady doc got everything taken care of for you.
That glue stick stuff is awesome, especially for irregular cuts. Pretty soon, he’ll be good as new.

On the weekend that people were wallowing around in the mud at Woodstock, I was in college in Philadelphia and took a hippie lady to see "Midnight Cowboy", the first mainstream movie that carried an "X" rating. (It was later reclassified as "R".)
The first thing I heard was Harry Nilsson singing Fred Neil's "Everybody's Talking", and it was the perfect song to accompany John Schlesinger's film about a Texas stud (Jon Voight as Joe Buck) and a gimpy con man (Dustin Hoffman as Enrico "Ratzo" Rizzo). It was an odd love story.
The film also featured John McGiver in a non-comic role as the crazy man who had a shrine to Our Lady of the Toilet in his flophouse room.
To this day I cannot hear that song without seeing an image of Voight and Hoffman walking down the street in New York -- and of her.
The hippie lady ended up marrying the wrong man, divorced him and died in a car crash at the age of 25.

Certainly an odd movie - and perhaps an odder song as it is open to interpertations far beyond the scope of the surface.
That same weekend, I ran away from home with two friends and hitchhiked as far as the New Jersey Turnpike where the traffic jam stopped us cold and state police turned back all Bethel bound traffic at the toll booths. I suppose it was an early example of profiling. That was a lifetime ago.

Glad Cubbie is settled in & getting some rest.
Poor Dad! I bet that hand is a trifle sore today.
I hope today is uneventful.:)

Sure relieved to hear all went well. Good old glue sticks! It’s amazing how different things are today in the ‘stitching unecessary’ department. And, for some reason, either I’d never heard or never gave it a thought, I didn’t realize a tetanus shot was different for those of the older group. But, when thinking about it, I’m sure it would have to be. Interesting!
