OAKLAND — Mike Issa couldn't believe the "gift" last night's looters left behind in his ransacked Jitters & Shakes coffee shop at 21st and Webster streets in downtown Oakland.
"You know what I say to the people who did this?" he asked, slapping a cracked cell phone on his counter. "I say, I have this phone here that you left when you smashed my store. That's a gift you've given me. Thank you for doing that. I can't wait to give this to the police."
Issa was one of dozens of downtown business owners who arrived at work to find shattered windows, stolen goods and spray-painted obscenities after Thursday night's protests against the verdict for the BART police officer in the 2009 killing of Oscar Grant.

As rioting goes, this was a lousy bunch. Very disappointing.
They were, obviously, the lazy generation “X” or whatever
spawn of their much more prolific rioter parents down in LA.

Sometimes I wonder what the “authorities” would do if white people rioted every time something didn’t suit them. I’m guessing that it will never happen because white people have to pay the bills for the clean up.
When will African Americans give up such primitive methods of political dissent?

I’m thinking that the educated kids from out of town were responsible for the spray-painted graffiti: note its legibility, good spelling, and good grammar.
Maybe the middle-to-upper class white anarchists who were egging them on should give it up, too.
Not until the State does something like roll in tanks and shove the the thugs against the wall and execute them via firing squad.
I would do just what the Korean storekeepers did in LA.
Grab my AK and a couple thousand rounds and shoot every one who tried to break into my store or anyone elses store.
Let them eat lead.
Good luck with that. It will probably lead you to the person/store the phone was stolen from not the one who dropped it in your store.

Now the feds (Holder Justice Dept) whom we know will not prosecute blacks for any crimes, are going to look into this case and see if they can prosecute on federal charges.
Of course they will find them.
Wish California would tell them the state is already taking care of it, it’s a state crime, not a federal crime, and we know you don’t want states helping you out with law enforcement issues, so we also don’t need your help, we’re taking care of it.
I see several white kids—probably trust fund babies from Washington and Oregon—in these photos perpetrating the violence. These are paid agitators.
Think twice before accusing black or Hispanic kids of this violence.
