Ron Paul Considering 2012 Presidential Run in Another Third Party Campaign
Chattah Box ^

U.S. (ChattahBox) – Be prepared for more annoying copy/paste ‘Vote Ron Paul’ comments on every forum, message board, media site, and news source. Ron Paul has announced that he is official considering a 2012 run for president, CNN reports.

The Texas Republican Rep. has run in the past, and he hasn’t gotten far. Though having a small group of extremely loyal supporters, most of which are Independent or Libertarian voters, he is unable to garner enough support for a GOP nomination.

As for running on a third party docket, that has never gone well for any politician. It is doubtful his chances for a 2012 run will be much better.

I voted for Baldwin. He was the only true social conservative running. He was a far preferable candidate than McInsane or Obamanation.

Yeah but at least Jesse won’t be running. Of course Sharpie Sharpton could always throw his hat in the ring if he feels the reparations from Obama’s transfer of wealth have not been enough.

Ron Paul reminds me of Pat Paulson (yea, I’m aging myself!) only Paulson was funny!

Oh no!

Another idiotic spoiler to give Obama another victory.

If he gave adam about this country, he would NOT run. He has NO CHANCE of winning.

Split the anti-Obama vote and get him re-elected? How constructive and forward-thinking is that?

I don’t think it will be tea partier’s that will be jumping in the moat with him... besides, he just looks too desperate to get to the white house and that alone turns folks off.

Ron Paul is a plague inflicted on the formerly grand Old Party as a punishment for their lack of principle. And Rand Paul is on deck to be the new vector as Ron moves further into his dotage.

Ron Paul certainly is a lightning rod inducing derangement and hysteria.

I may not agree with him but I always want to hear what he has to say.

"Believe me, the next step is a currency crisis because there will be a rejection of the dollar, the rejection of the dollar is a big, big event, and then your personal liberties are going to be severely threatened." - Ron Paul

If this comes true in the next two years, will more people listen?

And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.

Oh man, you have got to be kidding.

Did you know he's on record recently claiming that the Haitian earthquake was due to US black ops?

That's a serious nutcase you voted for.

People here in Houston seem to understand this fellow Ron Paul. I saw him at an event in the Toyota Center a couple of months ago where thousands were in attendance. He was walking around the concourse and not a soul was paying attention to him. LOL.

Not sure about Brazoria County though, where he lives and brings home the bacon. They'll probably vote him in again.

“another Ross Perot”

I don't think so. Perot was a likable character. Maybe not someone you would vote for, but he was fun to listen too, and at times made a lot of sense.

Ron Paul on the other hand is the “Ernest T. Bass” of politics. An annoying little gnat.

This "story" has about as much validity (along with the requisite bashing of conservatives and "far-rightists") as all the other blog posts on the site you got it from. Why is it posted under News/Activism? Because FreeRepublic doesn't have a category for malicious gossip?

This nonsense about Dr. Paul running "another third party campaign" has been debunked many times, yet it continues to find its way into liberal sites where anyone to the right of Olympia Snowe is labeled an extreme right-winger. These people don't vote Republican, so why should we expect them to know that Ron Paul's candidacy for President in 2008 was as a Republican, not as a Libertarian? (OK, he was on the LP ticket in 1988, but who can remember? Not many.)

I found the rest of Olivia's posting hilarious, especially the part about Sarah Palin's popularity falling, "and a rather negative image with those apart from the far Right." Hah! That must be us, although the clumsy wording makes it hard to tell for sure.

Her prediction that the Huckster would win the GOP's 2012 presidential nomination is characteristic of a political novice, and one with blinders on at that. With all the exposure Huckabee gets on FNC, is there even a slight chance GOP voters would pick him to run against 0bama? Not in my book.

Of course, it can be assumed that Olivia never watches Fox and is therefore deprived of a view into her political opposites' inner sanctum. That's why she will remain a blogger and nothing more. Reporters--even biased reporters--must every so often venture into unfamiliar territory to round out their story.

As an aside, you really need to consider subscribing to a different news aggregator with a built-in BS filter. Try AOL.
