This is one way to earn a "Not cool, Dad..." comment from your daughter: Talk about her new braces while giving a speech.
But President Barack Obama did just that Thursday while delivering remarks in Kansas City at a fundraiser for Senate candidate Robin Carnahan.
"You know, the — I don't have teenagers yet — Malia's just turned 12," said Obama, according to a pool report. "She's my baby. She's going — even though she's 5'9" now, she's still my baby. And she just got braces, which is good, because she looks like a kid and she was getting — she's starting to look too old for me."

It’s pretty rare that I can sympathize with The One on anything, but I know how he feels.
Seems like one day, your baby is showing you that toothless smile, drooling and rolling over on the floor, and the next day, she’s holed up in her room all day, only making a brief appearance at dinner.
As much as I despise this guy, I know what he means by this. It is weird to suddenly see young adults. Conservatives would do better to leave this alone, we have much more relevant stuff to work with.
Obama belongs in jail.
I try my best to keep my eye on Obama’s policies, which I despise. Although we have to deal with his character, or lack of it, also.
But I too can understand his sentiment here. I won’t waste a lot of energy wondering whether it was sincere or not. Even despots care about their kids.

God, these people keep throwing their kids out there as fodder. Last time, Mom went on some pitiful rant about her daughters being overweight, the doctor telling her they were fat. Can’t they just leave their kids out of the line of fire? Haven’t they learned anything?

The man is lost without his teleprompter. I think he meant that she was starting to look too mature, until she got those braces, and now she looks less grown up. The way he said it made it sound like...well, never mind.
