CeCe Heil for Tennessees 5th District
Im pleased to lend my support to CeCe Heils campaign for Congress from Tennessees 5th District. CeCe is another tough mama grizzly with the experience, passion, and integrity to restore some common sense to Washington. As a small business owner, attorney, constitutional scholar, and proud mother of two, she will fight tirelessly to protect our freedoms and rein in the excesses of an out-of-control federal government that seems set on spending away our childrens future. CeCe brings the business sense and the constitutional understanding that is so needed in DC right now. (And those of you who follow the music scene in Nashville will recognize the name of CeCes husband, Rick Heil, from his band Sonicflood.)
Please join me in supporting CeCe Heils campaign by visiting her website at www.ceceforcongress.com and following her on Facebook and Twitter.
- Sarah Palin
The “Palin=Hitler” crowd will have a field day with her supporting someone named “Heil.”

Is TN 05 an open bluedog retire?
Heil is running against 10 other candidates in the Republican Primary. The incumbent is a Democrat named Jim Cooper who has held the post since 2003. Cooper won in 2008 65.8% to 27.9% . Election Projection has this seat forcasted as solidly Democratic.

It would be great if Sarah’s endorsement can help steal this one from the Dems. Gotta win the primary first, though.
TN-05 has been in Democrat hands since the 1870s and is considered a “safe” Dem district. Most Republicans have moved out of the district to Nashville’s suburbs. This is another long-shot endorsement for Gov. Palin.
The Seminar Freepers who argue that the guv only endorses candidates who are likely to win anyway are full of manure.

I’m in TN-5 and I have never heard of this person.
Well, you have now, right?
Only by that comment. As it stands, I think this district is too difficult for the GOP to win. There’s no real Nashville GOP to provide support for a candidate (namely because they’ve been too much in bed with Nashville Democrats).
So gather up some tea party folks and get to work for a GOP candidate. We can’t sit around and expect our worthless state GOP bunch to do anything. It won’t happen. We get good conservative candidates and office holders when we the people get out and work for them. You’re a Volunteer, go git em. (from a native Tennesseean)
Even if my health permitted me to be able to, I’d be taking my life in my hands to canvass areas in my surrounding neighborhood. Tons of criminal illegals. One tried to murder a cop across from my house and just as I was typing here at my computer, I heard the gunshot as his partner fired point-blank at the illegal. I was asked today what candidate I endorsed in the 5th, and I didn’t have an answer, because I feel like we’re only putting up a sacrificial lamb. I know the demographics here, and this isn’t the place it used to be 25 years ago. Way too many true believing hope ‘n change moonbats, deranged GOP-hating knuckledraggers, big gubmint lovers, union thugs and other various sundry parasites and criminals. The good folks that once resided here have flooded into the 6th and 7th, and that’s why they’re heavily GOP.
I hate to hear that there has been so much deterioration of the city. One more reason I’m so glad that we settled in a small community, not even near a city. We had enough of city life in Nashville, Atlanta, Memphis, Jackson, Richmond, Montgomery and Miami. No more for me. I love this place.
