A former US Congressman pleaded guilty today to obstruction of justice and working as an unregistered agent for a foreign charity linked to global terrorism.
Mark Deli Siljander, 59, a former US representative from Michigan, pleaded guilty to charges contained in a 2008 indictment related to his work for the Islamic American Relief Agency (IARA) of Columbia, Missouri.
Co-defendant Abdel Azim El-Siddig, a former IARA fundraiser, also pleaded guilty to conspiring with Siljander and others to hire Siljander to lobby for IARAs removal from a Senate Finance Committee list of charities suspected of having terrorist ties.
Siljander, who also had been an alternate representative to the United Nations General Assembly, had concealed the organization for whom he was lobbying.

Hmm. I can't seem to find a party affiliation in the article. Probably just an oversight.
Funny how this story has had almost no coverage by the MSM at all.

If you can believe it, he’s a Republican.

I thought you had to be kidding and did a search...LOL!
Maybe we’ve learned what it takes for a Republican to avoid press coverage.
To: Psycho_Bunny
Wasn’t he a single-term Congressman from 1982, very conservative, as I remember? Now he’s a Moslem? Read an older edition of the Almanac of American Politics and verify this.

What is his rank?....I’m losing count!

He was my congressman from southwestern Michigan, for a single term. He was under the influence of some local “pastors” and his re-election literature was full of references to the devil, and Satan being in control of Washington, etc. It made a lot of people uneasy and he was sent packing. I always thought he was an empty suit, prone to being influenced by almost anyone with a few bucks to hand out. This doesn’t surprise me.

The other topic about it quotes an article (from the AP of course) that not only gave his party affiliation, it actually SPELLED IT OUT (not just "R" after his name). But this money that was shifted is federal bucks, wonder if it came from Zero's stimulus? If so, then this guy will pay a fine and go home.
