LACKLAND AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- A be-on-the-lookout alert issued last month for 17 Afghan military men who walked away from an Air Force base in Texas has turned out to be just the tip of the iceberg. No fewer than 46 members of the Afghan military have gone absent without leave from the Defense Language Institutes English Language Center at Lackland Air Force Base in recent years, FoxNews.com has learned.
From a series of interviews with civilians and military personnel conducted over the course of a week, and according to documents obtained from a variety of sources, FoxNews.com has learned that five of these Afghan deserters remain at large; eight are in custody; at least 18 are in Canada and one has been granted conditional U.S. residency. The most recent to disappear fled the Texas base just last Thursday, hours after his graduation ceremony.

As they say in Pakistan: Urdu that vurdu that urdu so well...
yes that has been my way of thinking for awhile sadly.
The only conclusion I can come to in observing the direction Western culture seems to be taking itself is that it is actively and knowingly contributing to its own demise. Its like a “white guilt” type phenomenon IMO...like “we deserve to be conquered so lets facilitate it”.
Yes, that’s more or less my take on it too.
They are AWOL to be military advisors to 0bama’s Muslim fifth column
It’s unlikely they went AWOL because they wanted to check out Spring Break on South Padre.
Thanks Nachum.
Makes sense.
LOL!;)
(1) I wouldn’t assume anything about “loyal to America” — we can’t possibly know what the motives are for each individual.
(2) If they are selected for such a program then they are NEEDED -— our people are risking their lives over in ‘stan while these (AWOL) guys are deserting -— we need them to be doing their part to secure their own ‘homeland’ -— of course we should care if they abscond here after we the taxpayers have spent much money and effort training them to help with the fight in Afghanistan.
Apparently they are not loyal to US laws.
