Immigrant advocates are rallying fellow activists to protest Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer during her scheduled visit this weekend for the National Governors Association meeting in Boston.
The Washington, D.C.-based ANSWER Coalition and others are putting out pamphlets, sending e-mails and making preparations to bring in protesters by bus to express their opposition to Arizona's controversial immigration law, recently signed by Brewer.

Sarah Sloan, a national organizer with the ANSWER Coalition, said protesters across the East want to voice their opposition to Brewer's decision to sign the bill and want "to send a clear message" to other governors not to support similar laws.
"The law may become a model for other states," Sloan said. "We don't want to see any further action that would legalize racial profiling anywhere else."

A rally is planned Saturday at Boston's Copley Square, followed by a march to the nearby Sheraton Hotel, where the 102nd annual governors meeting is planned.

FYI.
All five people will be protesting.
So in the libs mind it is racial profiling to ask someone who was speeding for their license?????
Say it ain't so! Oh the humanity!
Hey Sloan, you idgit! It already is working its way through 20 states with more making moves to get on the train.
Just another stunning display of supidity on parade by those who consider themselves enlightened.
Thanks very much for this ping, kristinn. I will be attending a funeral this weekend in Miami, so I won’t be able to stand up to them.
I admit to feeling pretty low and discouraged, the way things have gone, that even thinking about doing a counter-protest to those people is the last thing I feel like doing, but I think it is just that my defenses are down.
I sure would like some good news lately.
ANSWERturf will be there. Time for the Tea Patriots to make a protest.
Pray for America
Unfortunately, as much as I love this state, there is no shortage of useful idiots up here, including our state rep Scott Brown, who I stupidly campaigned for. I only have myself to blame there. What was I to do? Allow a radical liberal like Coakley get elected?
I guess the answer may have been yes.
I went to a parade in Rockport, MA this past weekend, and there was a contingent of “Veterans Against War” in the parade. It made me sick.
These days we have to create our own good news. Hopefully others will stand in your stead this Saturday.
ANSWER doesn’t have the collective stones to protest in Arizona?
where in beantown??
When are they going to stop saying ‘immigrants’ and remember that ‘illegal’ part. Arizona is not against immigrants.
Thanks, kristinn. You are correct. Damn, I feel low. Gotta figure out how to pull myself up here.
I know. I am less likely to make comments these days about wishing California would slide into the ocean, even in jest. I know too many like myself who don’t want to leave the state completely to the libs.
These are serious times we live in.
Especially in Maricoa County and go up against Sheriff Joe.
I’m the same way. I plan on taking my state back.
I think Juan McLame should get his azz up there and defend the Gov.
Lets see it, Juan.
Put your campaign money where your treacherous mouth is.
Yes, and send them a clear message: Get the heck out of our country, and don’t come back.
How will it increase racial profiling? Please start asking the liberals what they think an illegal looks like, cause I know illegals come from everywhere I say it is racist for the liberals to assume that all the illegals are from mexico
