Fox News host Glenn Beck announced Tuesday that he has launched an online academic program teaching classes in religion, American history and economics.
School may be out for the summer, but for Glenn Beck class is just starting, reads an announcement on Becks website. This July, while others are relaxing poolside, head back to the classroom from the comfort of your own home. That may sound like an oxymoron, but Glenns new academic program is only available online.

I am as well, Beck is being used by LDS, inc. to make LDS teachings more acceptable and palatable to the uninformed.
Those who don’t know better, think Beck is just another good Patriotic American, and he makes the LDS church look good and ‘christian’ and THAT is their goal.
Sad thing is, he will probably be tossed aside at some point, just like George P. Lee (first “Lamanite” General authority).
Huh, never heard of him. What is an evangelical?
THIS will screw up someones Temple Recommend!

LOL. You, TRAITOR, you!!!
I taught at a major University in So. CA (History) and couldn’t handle the liberalism so I got out of academia and moved to fly-over country.
ROTFL at the “defense of dead sea scrolls”
When posted that way, I have to agree with the statement.
Only if Beck molests his 12 year old neighbor and is excommunicated like Lee was.
And Beck isn’t even a GA.
Your powder is a little wet, you might want to dry it out. ;-)
Back to the salt mines for me, you folks continue to have your fun. It’s sure been fun watching!
Dennis Prager has had ‘Prager University’ online for over a year now.
Does Beck have an original idea in his head?
Apparently not.
The Lafferty brothers set one up in Utah a number of years ago. (One of Lafferty brothers was on the city council; was in charge of youth of his Lds church). Then, convinced by his brothers, he left the church and they formed a "school of the prophets." Before you know it, two of the Laffertys murdered their sister-in-law and child in cold blood.
For details, read the book: Under the Banner of Heaven by Krakauer.
Resty, I agree. (Would you please, pleeeease ask Mormon leaders to quit calling us Christians -- Protestants, Evangelicals, Catholics, and Orthodox, these following names...'cause, you know, it just doesn't "promote" or "foster" getting along:)
church of the devil (Book of Mormon)
apostates,
pagans,
worshipers of a god of our creation,
heathens (B. Young)
ignorant of salvation (B. Young; J. Taylor)
devil-worshipers (B. Young)
Babylon
bound for the same place as the devil & demons
anti-christ apostates (McConkie)
controlled by evil spirits (McConkie)
Source of these can all be found here (in paragraph context), with original citations: Quotations from Mormon Leaders on the Christian Faith
I guess you missed the posts about Glenn's idol Cleon Skousen.
I'm sure that Glenn and mormonism will have no influence AT ALL on the religious curriculum of the new venture, right?
Typical. Make false accusations (Mormon haters) and then when called on it, they leave without EVER showing a SINGLE post that says we hate Mormons.
No, you inferred it; it was not implied in the comment.
Furthermore, what does anti-Mormonism have to do with support for public education? I know ex-Mormon home-schoolers, and many fundamentalist (therefore anti-Mormon) Christians send their kids to private church schools. Your comments are nonsensical, like shouting, "You hate cake! You must be against chocolate!"
“You told EVERYONE in this thread you were LEAVING!
I guess a MORMON is not to be taken at their word...”
I left the thread you idiot, but as you keep sending comments to me, even though I was long gone from the thread, I respond to ypur comments, heaven knows why, because you have to be one of the most biased, and therefore ignorant posters on any thread that references Mormonism. I can’t stand religious bigotry such as yours. And by the way, you dolt, your assumption is incorrect that I am a Mormon. I’m not and never have been. I just am revolted by those that go after Mormons from some holier than thou position that their religion is correct, and all others are not. So buzz off. I’ve had it with you and your vile personality. You sicken me. BUZZ OFF.
But I do.
Sic it to ‘em Beck!

Thank you for the clarification. In light of his Mormonism and Mr. Skousen’s influence Glenn Beck has no business teaching anyone anything about Christianity or “religion” on the university level or otherwise.
