The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is blocking certain websites from the federal agency's computers, including halting access by staffers to any Internet pages that contain a "controversial opinion," according to an internal email obtained by CBS News.
The email was sent to all TSA employees from the Office of Information Technology on Friday afternoon.
It states that as of July 1, TSA employees will no longer be allowed to access five categories of websites that have been deemed "inappropriate for government access."
The categories include:
Chat/Messaging
Controversial opinion
Criminal activity
Extreme violence (including cartoon violence) and gruesome content
Gaming
The email does not specify how the TSA will determine if a website expresses a "controversial opinion."

I noticed that PORN is not one of the topics to be blocked.
I’ll bet FR gets blocked.
Hmmm, I see they didn’t ban porn sites. I guess that is considered “appropriate for government access” :-)
Nothing to see here. And I do mean “see.”
I’m moving to Russia
“Controversial” is defined as anything that does not fully embrace the propaganda of the Obamaviks.
...so, are they are going to block access from their OWN site?
But notice they do not block Pornography.
If the intent is to limit internet activity to work related matters while on the clock, I do not see a problem with this. Same with the private sector.
Porn is considered a benefit if you work for The Regime.
Pretty soon they will force private companies to deny the same things to there employees and once they declare that a resounding success then they can move on to regulating what you can have access to at your house... Game Over. They actually be smart in not blocking porn, one of the main things that destroys a family from within so they’d be silly to block it.
I don’t like where this is going.
It seems to me that it is unconstitutional.
Where is the freedom of assembly? Where is the freedom of speech?
Where is the freedom to have access to public information including opinions?
Dissenting opinion banned but not porn (or child porn).
HUUUUMMMMM.
Big Brother watching over your shoulder!
TSA = Ministry of Truth...........
I hope there’s a lawsuit, and it should be able to prove Freep gets blocked while Kos does not.
People in Russia and Brazil have more liberties than we do.
The USA is becoming a Maoist gulag.
Typical fascist.
I bet DU and KOS doesn’t.................
“Ill bet FR gets blocked”

And I bet DU, Daily KOS, MoveOn.org, Media Matters, et al will not get blocked.
These are GOVERNMENT computers, ie, TAXPAYER DOLLARS, not private computers...............
