Discrimination laws were not created to protect white males. They were created to put white males in jail for anything they might say or do and protect those who attack white males.

I watched "The Cowboys" with John Wayne last night, and during a cattle drive, one 15yo falls asleep on his horse. The Duke rides over, pushes him off and says "You were asleep! I pay a full days wage, and I expect a full days work!"

Maybe we should do the same to govt workers.

"It didn’t matter that I’d been supporting myself since I was 16, when my parents suffered a very nasty, alcohol-fueled divorce. It didn’t matter that I was also working full time while trying to get a college education, and that I had a 3.75 GPA."

"No, wait! You're gonna love this one...some white guy in North Carolina is claiming race discrimination! And the best part - hold on, Mr. President - the best part is, he thinks we're gonna look into it!"

“You are clearly a cut above the rest of us here at FreeRepublic!”

Not at all. I didn’t have a choice. I had no relatives that I could stand to live with, But I was used to being independent. I was tired of the same, low-level technical job that I had since I was a junior in high school. But all I could afford at the time was community college.

On the other hand, I became friends with a young black guy in the same class, who also came from a broken home. I was amazed by the social support programs that were available to him as a “protected minority.” He easily qualified for free tuition, free books, free transportation to and from campus on the bus, free meals, and even a monthly stipend for living expenses.

He was clearly bored by the whole situation, and didn’t really take our program seriously. But he was too dependent on a lifestyle that didn’t require much effort beyond the bare minimum, so he kinda slept his way through the two years.

At least I learned first hand about the futility of trying to categorize people by race. The whole point of the civil rights act (I thought) was to make race a non-issue.

But in the government’s hands, it became a primary factor in determining who gets breaks, and who doesn’t.

And here we are still.

“This type of racism by our gov’t is far more immoral...”

Bingo. Not content with offering equal opportunity alone, the government embarked upon the extremely risky enterprise of attempting to guarantee equal outcomes as well.

Do you want your heart surgeon to be an affirmative action hire who could never score better than a D+? Or do you want someone with the hunger and desire to be the best they can?

Besides the blatant, inherent racism found in the government’s assumption that race is a true measure of capability, it’s human nature not to desire what’s given to you, but for what you must strive to achieve.

The Price is Right excepted, of course...

“...that has turned white males into whipping boys.”

All you need to do is pay attention to the radio and TV commercials produced in the last few decades.

Need a dumb person as a foil? Cue the white guy.

Are you black? Hispanic? Asian? Female? Gay? Lesbian? A wife? A kid? Don’t worry, you’ll be scripted as the smart one.

Pretty pervasive. The only exception that comes to mind are the recent Metro PCS commercials with the two Indian geeks. I guess Indians don’t have an organized pressure group yet.

And, yeah. I miss the Frito Bandito...

They tend not to be more conservative and usually have a good work ethic. They also don't participate in violent crime. That's three strikes against them in LiberalWorld.

And as far as the media assault on white males, that's just the Left instigating sexism and racism for power.

Liberal minorities and liberal women, who constitute the majority among minorities and women, are pleased with this type of racialism and demagoguery and it serves to reinforce their support of Leftism, which translates into votes for Democrats.

"The whole point of the civil rights act (I thought) was to make race a non-issue.

You're right of course. That was the *original* plan, till the Dems came along with their perverted pipers and fouled it up. Now, other groups like the gays have taken up the mantle saying their cause is a "civil rights" issue, which I (and many blacks) find appalling. If the Dems have their way, no doubt polygamists and pedos will want special status in a few years time.

And re: no relatives you could stand to live with..preaching to the choir friend. My family is very conservative. Er, I mean "Republican". They see nothing wrong with McPain as President. Very embarrassing come Thanksgiving and someone brings up McAmnesty! I let loose with every nuke at my disposal (though I am vastly outnumbered!)

(though I am vastly outnumbered!)

This simple fact is the key to RINO World and the Root of All Evil in American Politics. The GOP has read the numbers, and in its infinite collective wisdom, has decided that the way to get enough votes to win an election, is to become more and more like Democrats.

Another simple fact-set. A country in which over half of the voters apparently voted for a vapid, ineligible fool and committed Marxist, etc.; in which over half of the voters mistook Teleprompter Reading for "Oratory," and over half now pay no federal taxes, simply ain't destined for greatness on this planet.

Really now, every post on every thread says pretty much the same thing. "We in a heap 'o' trouble," and the de facto President, "is a Marxist."

I used to believe in founding a strong Third Party, The Conservatives, knowing full well that it would mean Democrat victories for a while. Now, we ain't got a while. We need to become a much stronger element in the official Republican Party. Now.

Waddaya say we (me first) stop the bitchin' and moanin' come up with a
A Program,
A Plan
A Leader (or two)
and SOME CLUE

as to how to get back to constitutional government?

And you know something else? For liberals of all colors, it is verboten for a white to have any pride at all in their race.

Not even a smidgen.

This is the treatment you get from the Left even if you are totally accepting of the equal rights and equal intellectual potential of other races.

This strikes me as totally wrong, given that no one chooses their race and given that whites have contributed great things to the human world.

“This strikes me as totally wrong...”

It is totally wrong. Can you imagine the furor if 95+ percent of whites in the US voted for a totally unqualified candidate to POTUS based soley on skin color? The cries of “racism” would be echoing still.

But let a minority group do the same thing, and suddenly it’s “ethnic unity” or some such ridiculous assertion.

This amazing double standard gets a pass from the MSM, so much so that nobody even questions the premise of the Congressional Black Caucus anymore. Or La Raza. Or La Mecha. Or the New Black Panthers.

But let a similar group be formed for the benefit of those of European ancestry, and there would be riots and accusations of the rebirth of the KKK.

It’s a very sad time in this country, where we’re supposed to be a color blind society. And our “post-racial” president hasn’t help the situation with the rampant appointments of his homies to plum positions.

But we’re not supposed to notice. Or mention it. That’s racist.

Well, it's whites who are expected to be post racial while everyone else can just be racial.

Yet, white liberals just think any white who stands up against anti-white racism is just racist themselves.

It's just maddening, that they're that monumentally stupid.

“It’s just maddening, that they’re that monumentally stupid.”

Some of us take the concept of equal protection under the law seriously, and others only consider it when it works to their advantage.

Monumentally stupid? I thinks it’s more like living in an alternate universe where everything is relative and situational, with no underlying foundations of law or even that pesky morality.

Which pretty much describes my problem with the secular left.
