No they taste pretty bad. You could either use them for Cat and Dog food or grind them up and use them for fertilizer. Makes an excellent fertilizer.
After some of the CRAP I’ve eaten at upscale delicacy restaurants I don’t think some people care about the taste as long as it’s expensive.
A lot of black folk around here catch them and eat them. They say that if you know how to remove the mud gland that they are pretty good but most white folk don’t know how. Even with the mud gland removed they are pretty much awful. A black lady at work brought some in her lunch one day and when she put it in the microwave to heat it she completely cleared the cafeteria. I’ve never smelled anything that bad before in my life. LOL I would have sworn she buried it for a week before digging it up and cooking it.
I doubt my dogs would even touch it.
