I love America, but honesty compels me to admit I used to love it even more.
I loved it more when people could admit they were patriots without being called xenophobes. I loved it more when a person could say that nobody should be allowed to sneak into the country without being labeled a racist...

There’s a lot of that going around.
The libs don’t want you to love America. They want you to love Obama. They want you to love the UN. They want you to love socialsm.
So they are going to make sure that there is nothing about America you like.
I loved America more when veterans were respected for their service to the country instead of being called crazed baby killers.
I loved America more when you were able to be proud of being an American, and not be labeled with some “ism” for doing so.
I loved America more when you could say the Pledge without harassment.
I loved America more when citizens had more rights than criminals and illegal aliens.
There is no reason to love “America” any less,
just plenty of reasons to respect America haters ever less,
and an urgent need to educate the ignorant

Turn our national clock back to 1958.
Oppose death and taxes.
Make life a thing of beauty.
great article
Don’t be too quick to dismiss the now, for what was, back then.
Back then, real Soviet backed communists had infiltrated the government and Hollywood. These people were ruthless and murderous. The socialists of today are Mensheviks, compared to these horrific Bolsheviks. They are weak and ineffectual, filled with stupid fantasies and silly idealism. No comparison.
Back then, they wanted America destroyed, hopefully with Soviet nukes. They wanted gulag camps, Soviet military occupation, and to kill any who resisted. Compared to them, this crew of neurotic misfits are laughable.
Certainly there are more of them, now. But there is no real chance that their foolishness, while annoying, will ever be more than that. Certainly many people will suffer and be impoverished because of them, but eventually the public will wise up, and they will be back, begging for other people’s money.
AMEN!!!
I loved America more when people didn’t have a “right” to decide whether or not an unborn baby should live.
I loved America more when her president didn’t dislike America (and Americans).
I love America as much as ever.
It’s the dadgum gubmint I can’t stand.
Met my husband in 1958-—great year.
I loved the fifties——martinis,cigarettes,and huge tank-like automobiles.
