OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahomans affected by last month's record floods will not receive help from the federal government.

Gov. Brad Henry announced in a news release that the White House has denied his request for disaster assistance.

This means grant programs from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will not be available to residents.

However, the news release said that the state is working to find other ways to help Oklahomans, including attempting to secure Small Business Association low-interest loans.

I bet Obama would try to stall any sand bags too until there was an environmental impact study, proper floatation safety, union kickbacks, etc.

Upstate NY schools have been shorted on school aid...

Please don’t buy the union line!

When the average amount spent PER CHILD is LESS than private school tuition across the state, NY schools can feel shorted.

Our school district still raised their budget (which was passed by the voters) even though very few items of increase actually went to the kids. They just don’t get it that budgets should NOT increase at all.

I can remember when Alabama went for Goldwater...and Johnson paid ‘em back by shutting down the huge airbase at Mobile.

Yes, so very right, and then when Demoncrap Clinton came along, he closed the new Navy base in Mobile that was just barely open.

Eagle voted for Obama, after supporting Bush in the previous election. However, it is 94% white, which may be a consideration for this “post-racial” administration.

It is a memory that will last a lifetime.

I was profoundly impressed with those ‘True Americans’. They were proud people along that roadside, and I was proud and honored to be among them.

Funny, when I first saw the folks looking at us, we get that all the time with this bike, I figured it was because of my Harley as it slowly rumbled along, but when I saw the salutes and hands over hearts, I knew it was about our flag, what it stands for..... and our love of country.

I would have given up all the other wonderful experiences of that trip, for that short ride on that special stretch of road.

I guess the point of it all means that while America may be very sick today, she is still alive and because of patriot’s— her ‘heart’ is still beating very strong.

We are not alone...We WILL survive, We WILL WIN.

There are two FEMAS...State and Federal

There is a state Federal Emergency Management Agency? That's a strange name for a state organization

I’ve got an idea. Lets just take all Federal aid from say, New York City, for one month and re-direct it to OK.

The sad thing is, everybody is going to suffer for the next 930 days; because of this racist, marxist, muslim, idiot. Only he and his qualify for free shit. The rest of the country has to pay!
He is still in office, because congress refuses to check his birth certificate, cause he ain’t local.

Oklahoma is the only state in the union that not ONE county voted for Obama...that is why.

I don't know if that statistic is accurate, but I do know that McCain won OK with the largest percentage of the vote of any state in the Union - which explains O's refusal for aid just the same or even better.

This kind of game, trading presidential votes for federal program dollars or vice versa, was a Franklin D. Roosevelt Administration specialty. Like so many of the other features of that era, the Obamatons have copied it.

After the election, I saw a state/county vote map, and OK was the only state that Obama carried NO county in...there were a couple of more states that were close, but had one or two counties that Obama took.
