Back then, teachers were not babysitters. Let me tellya, I've been whacked a few times by my teachers too. When I would tell Mom, she would simply say, ‘good, you probably deserved it’. Yeah, she was right. I did.
In my days, hardly a student would get out of line cause they knew that they would get whacked if they did.
I read a thread here the other day that says that Mass. has banned the flag and the Pledge Of Allegiance in public schools. I am absolutely dumbfounded by this. Such a disgrace our schools are now.
I agree, If I had kids now, I too would home school them.

:) I’m sure we think alike. I really feel sorry for kids today. It’s not entirely their fault they will grow up to be brats. Not all of them of course, I meet great kids every day. But lots of them are growing up to be self centered jerks and the good ones are going to have to deal with those sorts.

Those who despise conservatism and FR look for every opportunity to run us down. If I see a thread or commentary that could harm the reputation of FR, I will state my objection.
And notice that my objection was not to the guilty/non guilty game, but to the fact that it had to do with sexual assault on a child.
That said, I’ve stated my objection and I’ll leave this thread and won’t reply to any other comments.
