Last night, as part of a procedural vote on the emergency war supplemental bill, House Democrats attached a document that “deemed as passed” a non-existent $1.12 trillion budget. The execution of the “deeming” document allows Democrats to start spending money for Fiscal Year 2011 without the pesky constraints of a budget.
The procedural vote passed 215-210 with no Republicans voting in favor and 38 Democrats crossing the aisle to vote against deeming the faux budget resolution passed.
Never before -- since the creation of the Congressional budget process -- has the House failed to pass a budget, failed to propose a budget then deemed the non-existent budget as passed as a means to avoid a direct, recorded vote on a budget, but still allow Congress to spend taxpayer money.
House Budget Committee Ranking Member Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) warned this was the green light for Democrats to continue their out-of-control spending virtually unchecked.
“Facing a record deficit and a tidal wave of debt, House Democrats decided it was politically inconvenient to put forward a budget and account for their fiscal recklessness. With no priorities and no restraints, the spending, taxing, and borrowing will continue unchecked for the coming fiscal year,” Ryan said. “The so-called ‘budget enforcement resolution’ enforces no budget, but instead provides a green light for the Appropriators to continue spending, exacerbating our looming fiscal crisis.”

I'm sure the 38 were given the green light to vote against it since the 'Rats knew they had the votes to pass without them. There are no "moderates" left in the DemocRat Party, just full-blown Leftists. Truly disgusting.
I’m attaching a sheet of paper to my federal tax return that deems my taxes to have been paid.
It is FAR beyond the point where merely casting their impotent protest votes matter at all.
With this action, the Democrats have brazenly trampled over the rule of law and are now merely and literally robbing us at gunpoint and spending our money on anything they damn well want to blow it on. There is no longer even the pretense of accountability or civilian representative approval.
This action is a hostile act from a treasonous domestic enemy.
If the national Republicans have any spine, they need to walk out of Congress, issue a unified proclamation declaring the Democrats and the Administration to be criminal enemies of the Constitution, nullify the illegitimate government in Washington, and hold special elections to reestablish a new, legitimate, Constitutional government.

On top of that...where are the Tea Parties? They were everywhere in April...now, it’s a deafening silence. There should be protests everywhere on the 4th. They should be screaming from the rooftops.

I’m as fed up as everyone else, but going the rest of the way and shredding what’s left of the Constitution is not the answer.
Do I think that in another time, there would be politicians taking bullets at this point? Absolutely. I’m convinced elected officials at every level feel as if they are insulated from their actions by promises of employment once they are out of office, as lobbyists, judges, or other types of appointed office.
The R’s do it too. Chris Cox is the head of the NRA. Is it not about time the guy gets an honest job? I feel that way about politicians on both sides of the aisle - go get a job in a grocery store, or as an engineer, or start a business NOT having to do with DC.
I agree we are reaching the point where the vote is rigged, and I suspect the government understands that too. There’s no other reason for coming up with a way to bail out the main stream media than that - people won’t pay to watch propaganda, even with their free time.
If they suspend the election in November for any reason at all, then its likely time to talk about armed revolt.
Only the shell of our republic remains. We are ruled by an oligarchy of Hussein, Reid, Pelosi and their staffs. The rat conressmen exist to rubberstamp the diktats of the oligarchy while the pubbies may as well not exist at all.
The only problem with your stance is that you expect the Republicans to follow the rules (the Constitution), when the other side has expressly shown nothing but contempt for the rules. It’s a recipe to lose.
Now is the time for the Republicans to do everything in their power to educate the public on what’s happening, do everything in their power to stop it, starting with removing Pelosi from her Chair, and then impeaching her (this is MORE than enough grounds to do just that), and start impeachment proceedings one Obama and anyone else involved. To do less is to betray those who they claim to represent.
It’s going to take more than just November. Relying on the elections is not enough. If the same Republicans remain in power, of the party and the newly elected...it’s all been wasted effort. All of it. The only reason the elections would be suspended is because the Republicans allowed it!
The Republicans walking out now would be a start. And welcome, in the face of the endless silence from them. They NEED us to re-elect them, yet they do nothing to EARN that.
We are angry. Why are they not angry? Why are they hiding? Why should we vote for them in November, and expect them to fix a single thing, when none of them, with the possible exception of Issa, will put their necks out and risk anything?
Now is the time for action, not waiting. November may be too late. If anything, they should have started talking impeachment during the healthcare fiasco. Even if they can’t win, they need to bring this stuff up, keep it in the headlines, and pound the Democrats daily about this stuff, instead of relying on talk show hosts to do their heavy lifting for them.
I can’t even recall an interview, sound bite, or interview where a Republican was a tenth as upset about any of this as Mark Levin gets. That’s scary to me. Where’s the anger from the Republican party? When’s the last time you saw the head of the party?
Half of my anger is at the Dems, the other half is firmly on the spineless, weak, cowardly Republicans who refuse to work FOR us.
Like I said, they ALL need to be fired, if they won’t act. Wait until November? No. Too much can happen between then and now.
Upon my return today, they certainly have not not disappointed. Right out of the gate, they appear morbidly insane and completely out of control. Just another day like all the others. HO HUM.
