Another way to flummox a lefty is to “go Socrates” on them -
“just exactly what do you mean by ‘change’?”
“oh, really, now, what exactly do you mean by ‘fairness’?”
when they find themselves defending the use of force to confiscate the wealth of one individual to give to another, they get really agitated.
“and that differs from theft, how?”
“so if a majority of people say it’s OK for me to steal your car, that’s not theft?”
Sounds a lot like apologetics, which is good. I think it was Augustine who said, “All truth meets at the top.”
