Right now, the ball is in the Republican court, said The Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, a coalition of evangelical churches. Both Rodriguez and Noorani were among a handful of grassroots leaders who sat down with Obama this week to discuss immigration.
The question is whether or not Republicans want to alienate for many generations the Hispanic electorate, the immigrant community and now possibly the faith and family-values community that currently supports immigration reform, the pastor added. Thats the question that Mitch McConnell and John Boehner need to answer.
But a recent nationwide Quinnipiac University poll out showed that just 12 percent of 454 white born-again and evangelical Christians said they backed reform policies that integrate illegal immigrants into American society. Eighty-three percent said they wanted reform to focus on stricter enforcement of illegal immigration laws.

Time for a third party! I know, I know.....it's not a practical idea but really, anymore I'm just seeing one big political party on the horizon.

This is about as reliable as it would be to poll "Black Evangelicals" who go to church to clap, sing, shout, dance and praise The Lord on Sunday, and then go into the voting booth and vote for a baby-killing, "same-sex marriage propagating" Democrat on Tuesday.
What's wrong with this picture?

It’s a two party system, Former Democrats and the New Communist Party.
Conservativism is called “Far Right” yet Communism isn’t called “Far Left”. The political middle is being shoved Left and importing people from socialist third world nations isn’t moving this nation back towards self-sufficiency.

Evangelecals who are still bambozzled by Elmer Gantry Huckabee need to warn him as well.
Unfortunately, it would probably be about as effective as warning Juan McCain and his other mini-me Lindsey Grahamnesty.

What a crock of BS. If the only way to be friends with Hispanics is to overlook the fact they've broken the law and are in this country illegally then I'm fear they'll have to enjoy their American experience without my friendship.
How on earth can anyone who considers themselves a Christian advocate overlooking those who break the law. Paul was VERY specific in his writings regarding the authority of those in charge.
If it's OK to break the law to get here is it OK to break it to steal someone’s SS number and identity to work? And if that's OK then how ‘bout breaking other laws because it's to your advantage? Where do you draw the line? If your religious beliefs tell you it's wrong for a country to have borders and to insist on those who cross those borders meet certain requirements then the "Christian" thing to do is to work to change the law, not break the law yourself by aiding and abetting those who break the law.

B/S. Secure the borders!! ______________________________________________________________ I like the idea that one Representative had: Put land mines inside the U.S. side of the border and post signs saying:
Esta área tiene minas. Entre en riesgo
(This area is full of LAND MINES. Enter at your own risk.)
Whaddya think; anybody?

The acronym CINO fits here.

Turning the entire U.S. into a third world hellhole, through amnesty for illegal immigrants! A profoundly dumb move.
