PHOENIX -- Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer says President Barack Obama's speech on immigration reform provided no answers to the problem.
"What a helpless speech," Brewer told News/Talk 92.3 KTAR by phone from Sedona, where she had a speaking engagement Thursday.....
It has to be, because helpless doesn't make sense. Hopefully this was the reporter's mistake and not Brewer's.
It's the "chicago way". And given the current state of lawlessness in our Justice Dept, it's going to continue.
And just like cotton candy, when you get too much of his speeches, they make you want to vomit.
Before the Obamacare vote, "people" were mentioning how legislators were scared. I thought that was a very interesting comment and wondered of what, precisely they were frightened. I don't know if you follow Glenn Beck's TV program at all, but a couple of weeks ago, he did a program about the Left and the Far Left using each other, but willing to destroy each other in the end to gain ultimate power. The Far Left are those who are willing to engage in violence to get their way. I wonder how many in government have been physically threatened by the Far Left. Where would we be today if those bankers had walked out of that meeting right after the election instead of being cowed by Obama and his thugs? Who else is willing to draw a line in the sand and say, "DO NOT CROSS!!"
Well, I guess she might think his speech was beyond help
Jan Brewer represented the district New River is in - before redistricting. I don’t remember if she was the state rep or on the county board of supervisors at the time. All I remember is the story from the horse people in the area of how she showed up at a rodeo wearing heals. She literally stepped in “it”.
When she took over as governor, I wasn’t at all impressed. Now, I’m in shock and awe. Who knew that a politician that would wear heals to a rodeo had a back bone!
JD was also our congressman for a long time. We had no complaints.
Things are getting better since Governor Brewer took over. She really surprised me the way she is standing up to Obama. Her poll numbers are taking off and Arizonans are with her on this.
“Hopefully this was the reporter’s mistake and not Brewer’s.”
Not sure, but seeing Brewer interviewed on Greta lately, she’s spitting mad, apoplectic - probably just misspoke .
Agreed! But we still need to repeal the 26TH. (Children's right to vote.)
I know where you’re coming from. When Napolitano left, Brewer said that she would have to think about taking the job. I went, “oh boy”. This isn’t going to work. I don’t know what happened since then. I think Sarah Palin standing up with her really helped.
So the task is figuring how to keep the vote for Republican women and deny it to Democratic women. That would be tough, but perhaps if we had a rule that, to vote, you have to pay something net to the jurisdiction you’re voting for, say $1 in net state tax after all deductions, exemptions and allowances. That’d probably clear a lot of people currently voting Democrat from the rolls. I expect it wouldn’t affect Republican rolls much if at all. And the actual participants in the US economy would be in charge of it.
What a novel concept, hmmm?
What ever happened to Jan - I hope it’s contagious!
Actually, I think it was helpful..helpful to JD Hayworth..You know the part where ZERO talked about working with Ted Kennedy and McCain to try and pass amnesty (er...”comprehensive immigration reform” a few years back)..the same McCain who now swears up and down that he never supported it.....well, that sound bite should make a GREAT ad for JD
I am thinking of sending Ms. Brewer some cash.
She has the balls McCain nor many GOPu___ies have.
Brewer, Christie and McConnell. Those three will stand up and lead (their concerns are in different areas in their respective states...but they have shown leadership).
Need pic of Neil Young.
I wouldn’t expect the Democrat trial lawyer POS we’re stuck with here in MO to be on the right side of anything.
Oh, the forgettable bureaucrat turd’s name: Jay Nixon
Yes, I forgot Jindal (hard one to miss these days) and Daniels to add to those three.
