SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The chairman of the Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele pledges big bucks to support Carly Fiorina's senate campaign against Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer.
Steele was in San Francisco Thursday morning, talking about California politics and the money it will take to win in November.
Show me the money, but of course he wouldn't -- to ABC7 anyway. The question is will he show Fiorina the money? The two are scheduled to sit down together on Friday.
Steele told reporters financial help for GOP candidates is coming.
"We're going to be in play here, big time in California, big time," said Steele.
Just what "big time" means he wouldn't say, except it'll be significant.
When asked if he could put a dollar figure on what he meant by significant, he said, "A lot. A lot. No, we're going to be here, we have a lot of opportunity guys to work hard, we've got great candidates in Carly and certainly Meg," said Steele.

Thank god, a normal person on this thread.
The primary is over and CA has a choice of voting for a moderate Republican or an ultra liberal radical OLD HAG.
Fighting among ourselves will only give us the OLD HAG and make it impossible to capture the Senate in 2010.
I lived in the Bay Area for 15 years and for the first time I can remember, attitudes are changing there against the RATS from talking to my friends who still live there.
Lets concentrate on dumping THE HAG and be done with the backstabbing.
That is some great news!
Apparently you California-types need people from all over the rest of the country telling you how to vote.
The author of this thread is fixated on “RINOS”, and helping elect their opponents.
He's also a Paultard and a third-party shill.
The primary's over. Rabs wants Californians to vote third party in the dim hope it helps promote third parties. Don't fall for his nonsense.
you guys are wasting your breath with the crowd here that doesn’t care about practical politics.
I do wonder, though, who exactly do they think Steele should be supporting in these races?
I think it is a little over the top to refer to Jerry Brown as “the OLD HAG.”
You are not going to make the Republican party more conservative by voting against Fiorina. Support her like crazy. The time to get rid of Fiorina was during the primary with a more conservative candidate. It’s too late now. Vote Fiorina. Vote straight Republican. It’s the only way to save our country.
If you love Democrats and Democrat rule, vote third party—unless it’s a lefty “third party”, then we cheer for them.
” The democrat operatives are hitting this site hard and pinning the RINO label on a lot of our candidates. “
YOU ought to know, TROLL ;-)
Carly was elected as the republican candidate. Who did that? Its was the electorate. If theres a mess its w/ ‘us’ not the party. KA republican voters could have elected a true conservative but they didnt. Why? That answer will give you all the info necessary to understand why the race is between a commie and RINO.
Some say the RINO would be the ‘better’ choice but I would ask for facts backing that stmt. RINOs, in my view, are far worse then commies. Commies at least stick to their principles. They’re a known quantity and react predictably. RINOs OTOH have no principles and are driven by whats best for them, their big donors, every fad and whim. When you need their support most you can find them across the aisle selling out. Given Carly’s track record in industry I think she could easily live down to the the very worst expectations.
Frankly, the voters in this district are just mind numbingly stupid. Then again it is Kookyfornia.
OO! *fingers crossed* for Fiorina! :)
What are you talking about? Have you read any of my other posts?
Well it won’t work with me. I’m NOT voting for Boxer.
agreed!
