Thanks to President Obama and the soon-to-be-reimposed drilling moratorium, our loss is becoming West Africas gain.
WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)Executives from oil and gas companies on Monday concluded an hour-long meeting with U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar without securing promises from the government to lift a deepwater-drilling moratorium imposed after a disastrous BP PLC (BP) oil spill

Cannot believe this. Where is the anger????
bad news for West Texas. Uggh.
Fewer jobs in America. The One is pleased.
the anger is not in the White House- sending jobs and industry to Africa and demanding that BP pay the laid off US workers- will seem like a win-win for this tribe
The list, ping
so Libya is now a garden spot compared to west Africa... LOL!
Wait a sec - What moratorium? I thought a Federal judge had blocked that? Are we back on now?
Actually good news for West Texas. It’s a very friendly place for on-shore drilling. Can’t drill deep water, drill more shallow water and on-shore.
Bad news for deep water drilling in US.
Note to 0bama:
Thanks, a$$hole.
I thought a judge lifed the ban (or something like that).
You’re right - a Fed judge blocked it. But the Obaby administration is appealing, and the oil co’s don’t want to wait around for it to play out in the courts.
Ken Salazar = retard
Barring BP from further Gulf drilling would be fitting and make sense. Their safety is clearly inadequate. Barring Exxon or the other companies that haven’t had a problem is wrong.
Well this will surely help the balance of trade for America. Maybe Mr. Skittles doesn’t realize that expats pay less taxes than citizens working in N. America. Psst. Don’t tell him.
We had better win in November or our country is doomed. It’s already going to take a decade to recover from Obama and the democrats little foray into marxism as it is.
Especially if Texas secedes! :-)
The weather and travel to and from are much better and I’m considerably east of Libya.
95% of Americans don’tt even know this is happening.
And for a lrage precentage of those, you would need to draw them a picture - in crayon - for them to understand it and the ramifications.
