When do presidents write budgets? They can recommend and guide but budgets come from Congress.

So the war funding is constant but the tax cuts continue
to grow the deficite until 2019?
The trillions obama is spending now will ammount to
nothing by 2019?

I don’t get the graph, other than it’s all Bush’s fault...

Tax cuts result in increased revenue...read that income taxes. Defense of this nation against the muslim terrorists is totally justifiable...Why don’t those bas*ards estimate the cost of one large nuclear bomb exploding in downtown NYC...and factor that in?

This is just more bs from the obama fascist government.

See what she does there? She assumes the same rate of tax receipts into the federal treasury without the Bush Tax cuts.

After the Bush tax cuts, tax receipts were actually at historic highs, eclipsing what was collected during the Clinton years. Lower rates = higher receipts. Liberals just can't wrap their head around this concept.

Bush didn't have tax problems, he had spending problems, some of which weren't his making, some that were.

Nope, the Democrats own the massive deficit!

FY2007 $160 billion budget deficit — Bush and Republican Congress

FY2008 $454 billion budget deficit — Bush and Democratic Congress

FY2009 $1.4 TRILLION budget deficit — Obama and Democratic Congress

FY2010 $1.8 TRILLION projected budget deficit — Obama and Democratic Congress

So what did Bush have to do with creating 600,000 welfare government jobs under Obama or spending trillions for Democrat slush funds?
What did Bush have to do with Obama abandoning Israel and what did Bush have to do with Obama and his party not making Bush tax cuts permanent?

2011 is going to be sooooo baaaaad!

Reminder, The Deficit You're Freaking Out About Is Bush's Fault

Indeed, a portion of it was. But Obama took the Bush deficits and quadrupled them. That should cause any thinking person to freak out.

And by the way. . .it isn't JUST the deficit. . .it's the things the money is being spent on.

Author is el stupido.

How would the Bush Tax Cuts, expiring that the end of this year, affect the next consecutive eight years? This fact ignores the fact that lower rates actually created more revenue, but that is besides the point since they expire.

How in the world do they ignore that it has tripled since Bush left office and that can’t be blamed on him? These people are crazy blind and nuts!

Did a search and this is what I found. It is actually a liberal front group:

The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) is a non-profit think tank

Think tank that describes itself as a "policy organization ... working at the federal and state levels on fiscal policy and public programs that affect low- and moderate-income families and individuals."

The Center examines the short- and long-term impacts of proposed budget and tax policies on the economy, on federal and state budgets, and on households in different income groups. It also examines whether federal and state governments are addressing critical priorities, both for low- and moderate-income Americans and for the population as a whole, and whether they have sufficient revenues to do so.

In addition, the Center identifies and promotes effective approaches to reducing poverty. Specifically, it designs measures to make key programs for low- and moderate-income populations more accessible to eligible recipients, more effective in helping them meet their basic needs while moving toward self-sufficiency, and simpler for federal and state governments to administer.
