CHICAGO -- He's been keeping such a low profile since nearly derailing Barack Obama's campaign for president in 2008 -- is it possible that the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright has mellowed?
Hardly.
During a five-day seminar Wright taught last week at the University of Chicago, he was back at it, claiming that whites and Jews are controlling the flow of worldwide information and oppressing blacks in Israel and America.
"White folk done took this country," Wright said. "You're in their home, and they're gonna let you know it."
The course, advertised as focusing on politics and public policy in South Africa and America, was taught in a small, ground-floor room at the Chicago Theological Seminary on the university campus, where Wright's voice echoed out an open window. The class was composed of about 15 to 20 students, mainly older African-American women who would arrive early and giddily linger during lunch breaks and after class, looking for the reverend's attention. (The course cost a little over $1,000 if taken for college credit and $300 if taken without.)
The absence of young people was telling: The lectures seemed ossified, relics of a pre-civil-rights America -- a point that Obama himself made during his famous speech on race in March 2008, prompted by the incendiary comments ("God damn America!") made by his former pastor and mentor.

It is easy for race bait’ers like Wright or Sharpton or Jackson to keep victimization alive and well.....look around at the able young people hanging out, doing nothing, but able to have most of the popular cyber toys....it is called WELFARE...Obama and his congress and senate are keeping Americans on welfare, deliberately keeping them dumb. Less than half the country are taking responsibility for their own lives.....
And will the media notice? ............................................. Maybe not but certain Italians will. “Hey Guido, we need the cement mixer”.

Italians and other immigrants of those generations must sick in his America-heating craw. They came here not knowing a stitch of the language for the most part, grew up in tenements in overcrowded cities, and have for the most part been proud to become Americans, learn English, and contribute their own cultural perspectives to this great Republic. My parents were very proud to become citizens.
But I've noticed some of the same Jeremiah-type blather among a few of my fellow Italians (thankfully very few)--who want to whine about how we are treated and stereotyped in this country, blah blah. And yeah, that did happen--I won't deny it. But my relatives who are here are for the most part way better off than my relatives who are still there. And even a simpleton understands that the answer to racism is to promote positive role models and people who make their mark culturally, politically, and scientifically. More George Washington Carvers and Duke Ellingtons and Bill Cosbys.
And Wright's idiocy is water off a duck's back as far as us Italians are concerned. I'd be happy to take him to a museum and show him what Mamma Luigi has been up to for the last 2500 years.

Americans, “all” are going to rue the day they elected Barack Hussein Obama POTUS!!! But, the Americans that will suffer most will be Black Americans as they are suffering right now economically from the failed “Chosen One” Obama. Black folk unemployment and housing foreclosures are off the chart. Problem is, these good folks do not realize what they have done to themselves. Sad!!! Maybe they will wake up, but I doubt it!!!
As a present and former Italian, I am offended by Rev. Wright. I want him arrested for hate speech along with the organization that employed him.

The way the Democrats have taken over education, the teachers unions and the cities, tried to stop vouchers and Charter schools - this is one area that Psycho Wright is actually on solid ground. Dr. Ben Chavis, an American Indian educator specifically blames the Democratic party for the horrendous state of minority education.
Read the book “Crazy Like A Fox” by Ben Chavis and Carey Blakely. Chavis is an Indian who become an educator and takes over a charter school in Oakland that had been created for their American Indian community. When Chavis gets there, the kids are drinking 40’s, smoking pot and having sex on a mattress behind a tool shed - and it is a middle school, and in total disrepair no less. There is an absentee rate of 35%, the kids cannot read nor write and they are blanking on the state tests. The liberal intelligentsia of Oakland, fools that they are, are teaching the kids bead making and banging on drums to keep them in touch with their Indian “heritage”. You will be cheering as Chavis throws the bead bums out, fires the idiots and spits the Oakland establishment in the face. He attacks the Democrats, even though he is one, for trashing the education of minority children. They have run it for decades and produced nothing but union contracts, while the kids cannot even read. He yells at them for always throwing too much money at the problem and having no accountability. He spends less money but gets great results.
This man does a job and he takes a school of illiterates, writes new rules, drops the truancy to almost zero, rips off the makeup, pulls up their pants, shaves the heads of disobedient students, stops rotating kids in different classes by anchoring them with one teacher and makes the school reach the top 5 schools in California based on standardized tests. He beats the rich white schools in the suburbs. Well, then the Governor, the press and even Laura Ingraham show up. This guy Chavis has answers and I think he could make big things happen in inner city schools if he was given the helm. He gets results where the Democratic led education establishment has failed for decades.
Chavis loves No Child Left Behind because it makes schools accountable - and that is why the teachers’ unions hate it.
Oh and guess what - the education establishment hates him - what else is new.
