I have only followed Tapper since he took over form stuffy stephy. I would hardly characterize him as one of the good guys hardly fair and balanced. Of course when someone above your corporate head tells you that you “will do this or that”,many cave.

Good question, what happened to Jake Tapper? What happened to Joe Scarborough? He was a GOP Congressman from Florida, and quite conservative. Now he is the opposite. Chris Matthews used to sit in for Rush! I heard Sean Hannity had to cancel a speech to Tea Party on illegal immigrants because his boss is now for amnesty! What IS going on? Bigger forces at works than we can imagine. Rush says they just want to be spoken to and accepted at the cocktail parties of the elites, but I fear it is more sinister than that.

some pastor this morning who removed the cross off his church rooftop and changed the name to C Cubed or something like that to not offend the non-Christian members of the community.
Good grief.
To: rodguy911
Tapper used to ax excellent questions when he was at the WH and not let them ignore him. Now he is a lemming for the DNC.

Probably had the religion of the left preached to him as well as a green dollar replenishment of his bank account.
Remember all this does is greatly enhance what we do here. The biggest and best journalists of 2010 are now on the web and some are here.

Well, as a veteran who really hates the way our troops are being misused and abused, I think Obama is just trying to make the USA so damn sick and tired of war that we’ll never fund another tank, aircraft or regiment, and we’ll just call the whole thing off. The guy is a head-in-the-clouds pacifist, who wants is to choke on it, and the get over the whole notion of defense and war.

That panel today was one of the BEST I have seen on sunday am...
It was very interesting. The one guy, Tom Ricks (who lived there as a child), was very interesting in his take on the Afghan population. However at the very end of the discussion his assessment was that the only way to avoid dealing with problems in the ME is to convert to alternative sources of energy.
Junger (sp?), writer who has imbed with the troops, reminded the panel that even though the number of Afghanis killed during our involvement is high, it did not begin to compare to those killed by the Taliban. Leaving Afghanistan to the Taliban would be a huminitarian disaster, and AlQueida would be back.
Wes Moore (in Afghanistan from 2005-2006, I think) pointed out how the Afghanis do not even comprehend the geography of their own country. When they were shown a map of Afghanistan, they did not know what it was. IOW, they are very tribal and seperated into their local regions.
Quite interesting, over all.

Either that or it all planned by Marxists in power and carefully calculated to slowly destroy the country from within.
Every phase of activity we have that works from our economy to the military, banking system to health care are all under attack by the left.
Need I go on? You get it.

Thanks PB and yes I have been known to embellish. That said, we don’t really know how coordinated the attacks on the Bible and Prayer in schools between the ACLU and the leaders of the DNC.
There was a huge group of commies that joined the Party and were pointing to this overthrow of America we are seeing. That was a giant stratigic step.
Pray for America

interesting takes, especially by the Denver Post. They are still stuck on the solution of govt. money is the only answer.
They need to listen to Rush once in a while and learn what personal goals can do for an individual.
You can only get so much "help", after a while you have to actually do something on your own.

From what I have read about Afghanistan it seems every ten years or so they get new rulers.
Locals are either threatened with imminent death if they don't obey the new rulers or given a little bit of cash to obey or a bit of both.
After a while philosophy gives way to imminent threats of life or death 24/7. Must be a terrible existence.

...although they could be WAY more selective.
####
They already are way selective. Whether it is the economy, or that the age group of volunteers were strongly affected by 9/11 when they were “children”, recruiting is up, and retention is up.

"the restrictive rules of engagement are McChrystals not Obama's." That may be the case that McCrystal developed these however, Obama is the commander in chief and he supported this fully. I didn't like McCrystal from the get go...wasn't good for our troops IMO. and am very glad he is gone. Now if the same would occur with Bo we might just have a chance to survive all this ridiculous "Hope and Change" nobody in their right mind wants!
