House of Representatives Congresswoman Raises Red Flag on Hezbollah-Cartel Nexus on U.S. Border

Iran-tied terror group Hezbollah may be colluding with drug cartels along the U.S.-Mexico border, a Republican congresswoman warned, calling on Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to establish a special task force to figure out how to "clamp down" on this "national security" threat.

The Lebanon-based group has long-standing and documented ties to South America and its drug gangs, but reports have recently surfaced that it may be expanding its influence to Mexico and the U.S. border.

In her letter to Napolitano, Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., called on Homeland Security to find out and report more on the extent of the problem. She cited several troubling developments that would point to Hezbollah creeping closer to and inside the United States, with the help of Mexican drug gangs.

"It is vital we know what is happening on our border, especially as crime and violence continue to rise there and as terrorist plots and threats are increasing inside the U.S.," she wrote.

Myrick outlined a complex set of potential threats and evidence of their existence. She said "Iranian agents and members of Hezbollah" are thought to be learning Spanish in Hugo Chavez-run Venezuela before trying to obtain false documents to enter the United States as purported Mexicans. She said Hezbollah, known for its tunnel-digging skill, could be receiving drug money from cartel operations in exchange for help forging better tunnels across the U.S. border for

For all the good this will do, Myrick may as well be shouting alone in a soundproofed generator closet in the sub-basement of an abandoned building.

If We, The People care one whit about ANY of this, WE are going to have to stand up and do ALL of it ourselves.

Our so-called “government” has become almost 100% irrelevant to the actual needs we face in our day-to-day lives, and — more often than not — now INHIBITS instead of promotes liberty and freedom. Not that the government has failed to act, but that it has increasingly acted to restrict or outright oppose solutions (hello, Arizona), and to simultaneously levy new impositions upon our liberties that further mitigate our ability to deal with the problems we face.

Case in point: what better way to NOT build a physical barrier along our southern border than to insist that it be built by 100% union labor, and meticulously inspected in complete accord with every restrictive, bureaucratic regulation on the books? THAT is a de facto guarantee that it NEVER gets built. And that’s exactly the kind of moves this regime has been making for the past two years.

We, The People MUST admit to ourselves that the Federal government has failed us in nearly every way that truly matters, and has become THE primary obstacle that we have to work around in order to preserve the Republic and remain free. The federal government has gone feral on us; it has turned antagonistic to us, and to our continued existence as free men.

Tragically, we have allowed it to get too big to be able to rein in, and it has too many sycophantic adherents to be able to starve it into submission. Uncle Sam has become a hulking, maniacal, power mad, out-of-control demoniac who now threatens to consume all the increase of our labor out to the Nth generation of our progeny. TODAY, however, Uncle Sam is NOT our friend.

We must learn to use him against himself, for his own power is all that we have with which to bar his further advance, for he does not now well respect the ballot box. To the maximum extent humanly possible, he must be ignored, excluded, dodged, avoided, worked around, and kept totally out of the loop. Where his involvement cannot be helped, it must be hobbled by as much of the mass of his own benighted bureaucracy as can be. Only if he can be thus divided against himself do we have a hope of his being exorcised, and his sanity restored.

Our Grandparents — those who survived The Great Depression, and subsequently raised this Nation to her greatest stature by force of their own personal responsibility and industry — were 100% right: IF YOU WANT IT DONE RIGHT, DO IT YOURSELF.

If we fail to restore Uncle Sam to sanity, the only remaining options are to kill him outright, or bear the chains of servility.

Yes, the situation IS THAT DIRE.

We’ve have got a VERY long row to hoe; so long that our grandchildren may not finish it. But we have no choice if we would have them taste freedom.
