WASHINGTON D.C. police are investigating after an officer shot and killed a dog that allegedly attacked him while serving a search warrant at a Northwest Washington home Tuesday night.
Marietta Robinson, who lives at the address, said police were unjustified in killing the dog, which she put in the bathroom before police entered the home. Police were searching for her grandson, who the woman said hasnt lived there in so long, not even her 13-year-old dog knew what her grandson looked like.
An officer entered the bathroom over the 62-year-old womans protests and shot the dog, named Wrinkles. As many as eight shots may have been fired, Robinson said.

What kind of trigger happy wimp would shoot a pug?
Exactly! Minus the dogs the same thing applies here. As I have posted many times before, to serve as a legal public notice, I do not recognize no-knock warrants as Constitutionally legal instruments. All unannounced forced entries will be treated as armed home invasions. I may or may not use all the lethal force at my command to repel them as I so choose. If I stack up a pile of bodies and live through the invasion I will not apologize to anyone and there will not be any admissions of guilt or remorse.
A Pug.
Shot 8 times.
It must have peed on his shoe or sumpthin . . .
What is there to discuss. We are obviously living in a different country than what I grew up in. There is NO LEGAL EXCUSE for the police to treat people (even druggies) in this manner. Un-be-lie-va-ble! Where are we heading since this has become the norm.

The dog was a pitbull mix according to another news outlet and weighed around 100 lbs. Also the dog apparently bit an officer.
May not excuse the shooting, but we are not talking about a lap dog here.

Would it be too much to ask for you to post a link to this other article? Still doesn’t justify shooting a dog that the owner has put in another room, though.
I wonder how many killers invade homes and yell “Police!” We’ll never know because the residents were killed by the invaders who yelled “police”.
One of these days a group of really pissed off people are going to set a trap for an unsuspecting SWAT team, an inescapable deadly trap.
With no hope for survival.
I don’t want it to happen but that won’t stop it from happening either.
Careful with the talk. The Hutaree are accused of planning something along those lines (against local law enforcement), and as a result, were charged by the feds with conspiracy to wage war against the united states.
Yikes, yes I should have been mindful that I could get an immediate visit by a SWAT team.
Out of control officials all across the spectrum of society must end, starting from the top down.
Many people abuse power because they answer to and take orders from people who abuse power. I do not agree with this in my lifetime.
The Youtube video in post number 2 must have a picture of the dog as a pup then.
Everything in DC is EVIL. That includes the incompetent cops.

just call me granny....i will be happy to help
Just because 8 shots were fired doesn't mean they shot the Pug 8 times. Maybe the bathtub moved and needed shooting.
(IOW, they missed several times.)
I would imagine the Pug was all worked up, especially being locked behind closed doors. When a dog with a pushed in nose gets excited and breathes hard they snort and get gurgely, sometimes people think it a growl.
This cop has no business with a gun, he is a danger to society.
