The current El Nino has brought extended wet, cool weather to Idaho in the May->June time frame. The water is welcome, but there isn't enough heat to grow the crops. A shift to La Nina makes the winters wetter and colder. It would be nice to have a normal summer again.

This would fall right in line with the possible record hurricane season predicted for the Atlantic.

OK, NASA is going to need to get their story straight. Are the oceans rising due to glacier melting or not?

Color me skeptical. Where all the watah at???

Is it hiding in the melting glaciers? Or are the glaciers re-freezing?

Or is the missing water hanging in the atmosphere, unable to condense or crystalize, due to lack of funding?

Or is this just another chapter in the ongoing climate change fraud?

But NO!!!!!

Don't listen to them!

*runs around in circles singing “La lalalala -I’m not listening!”*

NOoooooooo!!!!!!!!!

But, um...you know what, um..the top sigh-en-tists of the world say it's the hottest it's ever been in the history of the Universe by at least 10,000 degrees!!!

It's so hot that...did you know that TICCSGAT has found that it's many many degrees warmer in Antarctica in December than it is in July!!

This PROVES your SUV is making the earth hotter.

The Intercontinental Committee on Climate Scamming and Gnomes Altering Temperature have proven that photoshopped polar bears are stuck on ice floes because of global warming caused by gnomes, farting, and CO2.

Won't you please give up all your freedoms and impoverish yourselves below 3rd world standards to save the earth from the horrible waning that you are responsible for!?!
You selfish co2* breathing greedy pigs that want to live a normal life!!

Please believe the climate change/globull warming scam!

Do it for the children!!!

*Your breath is a deadly toxin according to the EPA —no offense

Patzert said a La Nina is essentially the opposite of an El Nino..

Not correct.

La Niña Is Not The Opposite Of El Niño – The Videos

La Nina occurs because there is a large difference in the atmospheric pressure of the west and east tropical Pacific. Trade winds increase and cool the surface water, and they cause cold water upwelling in the eastern Pacific (Americas) and they force solar warmed water in the tropical Pacific to the Western Pacific (Philippines and Australia). When El Nino occurs there is a small difference in the atmospheric pressures in the eastern and western Pacific. So trade winds weaken. This cause tropical surface water to warm and stay warmed. The water then gives up heat to the atmosphere which sends moisture to the Eastern Pacific (America). You are just looking at atmospheric pressure cycles that greatly affect the atmosphere and ocean interface. This interface contains pathways for solar energy. Shallow surface water is the short term pathway. Deep ocean water is the long term pathway. During an El Nino, less solar ocean heat is transferred to the deep ocean and more solar ocean heat is transferred to the atmosphere. During a La Nina, more solar ocean heat is transferred to the deep ocean, less solar ocean heat is transferred to the atmosphere.

At any rate, the solar cycle is back to an average sunspot number less then 25 for the past 3 months. So we have still been cooling overall and this winter will be worse then last winter.
