Is it illegal to preach Christianity to Muslims in America now?
Acts 17 Apologetics, a Christian evangelistic group, was banned from passing out fliers at this years Arab Festival in Dearborn, Mich., but they went to the festival anyway and ended up getting arrested.
On Saturday, I got this message from David Wood of Acts 17: Muslims threatened to kill Nabeel [Qureshi, an ex-Muslim and Davids colleague] and me if we showed up again at Arab Fest in Dearborn, so we went there yesterday. They didnt kill us. Instead, police arrested us and we got to spend a night in jail (along with two others who were video recording us).
Wondering if they were arrested for passing out fliers in defiance of the ban, I asked David about the ban. He answered, Yes, were banned from handing out literature, but we didnt do that. We followed the rules, and still got thrown in jail. They flat out lied about us. We can prove they lied with the video footage (just like last year), but the police took our cameras and wont let us have the footage. Theres major oppression of anyone who criticizes Islam.
Last year, Nabeel, David and friends went to the Arab Festival and filmed a video that went viral. It is amazing to see in that video what happened in America. It was free speech under siege.
Nabeel and David were harassed and intimidated, aided and abetted by law enforcement.

Is Dearborn in practice an Apartide City?
Henry Ford originally brought the Muslim Arabs into Dearborn, cheap labor for his plant. We have him to thank for this mess.

True—Ford has a lot to answer for—but most of the original immigrants were not muslims but rather Christian Arabs.
And Christian Arabs whether Lebanese or Chaldean etc assimilate. Muslims do not. And they keep coming...
I remember what happened last year — it was scary. Now, with the police confiscating their videotapes and such I wonder if the truth will come out regarding their right to defense against any of the charges pending against them. I would HOPE the video has been taken in as “evidence”, that it is not tampered with, and that it will be made available to their defense lawyer(s).
I’m glad they weren’t killed, but it’s sad that they were arrested. I’d really LOVE to see what happened... If it went down at ALL like what happened last year they didn’t do anything wrong, well nothing illegal. If it’s a public event then they have just as much right to be there as everyone else. And, they have just as much right to speak on whatever subject they wish as well.
I’ll be praying for them, and indeed all Christians who face persecution in one way or another.
Cool. I’m glad they got the footage back. Thanks for the link. Going to go check it out now...
I don't care whether their literature was about Christianity, Tea Parties, Jenny Craig or Zoroastrianism. If they're just standing on a public sidewalk handing out literature, those who want it can say "Thank you" and those who don't can say "No, thank you."
Not "You're under arrest."
Perhaps the Dearborn cops don't know Jack Chick about the First Amendment.

Nice Pun taken in context, AWESOME!
:o)
Ford bringing in immigrants-—I wish I knew how that whole process happened.
BTTT.
Not to be too picky, but this story isn't about Islamic law being imposed in Dearborn (not yet at least) it's about political correctness and craven cowardliness by Dearborn authorities.
If Islamic Law did in fact come to Dearborn, we would have martyrs not Christians being arrested.
