Scientists 'Convinced' of Climate Consensus More Prominent Than Opponents, Says Paper

A new analysis of 1372 climate scientists who have participated in major climate science reviews or have signed statements in support or opposition to their main conclusions confirms what many researchers have said for years: Those who believe in anthropogenic climate change rank much higher on the scientific pecking order than do those who take issue with the idea.

The paper shows that "the vast majority of working [climate] research scientists are in agreement" on climate change, says climate science historian Naomi Oreskes of the University of California, San Diego. "Those who don't agree, are, unfortunately—and this is hard to say without sounding elitist--mostly either not actually climate researchers or not very productive researchers."

This is exactly the result one would expect. Governments are pouring billions of dollars into climate research. Money, fame, and prestige are there for the taking in what was once a sleepy corner of earth science. But, the money only goes to those who are willing to proclaim and advance the dogma. Deniers need not apply. Plenty of scientists are willing to prostitute themselves and compromise their integrity. Plenty of others are true believers in the Earth Worship religion of the left to begin with.

What is amazing are the numbers who are willing to stand up against this nonsense. They may be few, but they have the courage of their convictions and they have the facts on their side.

So, it's "consensus" again and not real science that proves their "theories".

There must be a "consensus 101" class in school that teaches liberals to always use consensus as their explanation/proof for everything.

Theories come and go, just like fads. In the 1950s most prominent geologists believed in the bogus theory of "granitization" (metasomatic origin of granitic rocks). But the facts (evidence for igneous origin) eventually prevailed.

We may have to wait a while, but "AGW", like granitization, will be rightfully dumped into the trash bin of scientific history.
