The top commander in Afghanistan, Gen. Stanley McChrystal, has been summoned to the White House to explain biting and unflattering remarks he made to a freelance writer about President Barack Obama and others in the Obama administration.
The face-to-face comes as pundits are already calling for McChrystal to resign for insubordination.

That was my thought. These guys don’t make general without knowing the political ropes.
If he had resigned first, the MSM wouldn’t have reported his comments.
“In his own way hes keeping his oath to the constitution. He is a patriot”.
...if it’s true that he voted for Obama, then I would disagree with the patriot part. McChrystal voted like he was casting one for “American Idol” and that’s unforgivable. He’s either completely in the dark on history and economics or he knows plenty about the two and prefers Marxism. I believe it’s the latter of the two and I believe he’s a total a-hole for throwing his country under the bus!
“McChrystal voting for Obamah, tells you all you need to know about what he thinks of Juan MeCain.”
Nope...it tell me all I want to know about McChrystal.
Lets let THAT sink in for a moment..
He VOTED FOR OBAMA.........
What does that make him?..............
He must be missing a few bricks in the load.. to be that stupid..
Actually could be said about any democrat..
When you consider the acts the demodrat party has made for 40 years..
Just TO BE a democrat is an indictment..
To be a democrat is a security risk...
Rapidly becoming true about republicans too..
Even a general can see that the Emperor Obozo wears no clothes.
After the comments in the article, I suspect he would resign if he did not think his troops would fare worse without him. The ‘Bozo may not give him a choice.
Where, or what, is Holbrooke doing, the man who had all the answers to the problems in the mideast, and was so visible on the national networks, when Bush was president.

Obama only gets tough with his friends and allies. With his enemies he bows and kisses a$$. When is Ahmahnutjob going to be summoned to the White House?
Desperate times call for desperate measures
And then perhaps he knew something about McCain that made supporting him impossible...
Could be. I wonder whether he truly believed in the ROE, if they were his or if he had to agree to them to get any troops.
His first major lapse in judgement was his vote for "commander zero".
Wonder how the guys on the ground feel about him.
What does that make him?..............
A guy who says he voted for Obama...I know a lot of them.
The information was out there prior to the election. If McChrystal voted for Obummer, he get zero respect from me.
IF he really did vote for Zero, then he is not a patriot.
“And then perhaps he knew something about McCain that made supporting him impossible...”
...I agree but we all held our noses when voting McCain. At least appear to have some sense!
“Wonder how the guys on the ground feel about him. “
Before or after this article? I’m guessing more are with him than not. Just a guess.
“and said that Obama was unprepared”
A running theme of this Presidency.
Agree, but I have worked with some smart officers over here who admit having voted for Obama.
Stop the Damn Mouth!
I hope the general guts him like a fish.
I’m not convinced that McChrystal has done this knowing that his career will end. He fired the aide who scheduled the interview, he took the interview in the first place with a rag that might not have had good intentions. He has also apologized for his remarks. If he had done this on purpose with the thought that it was a career ender I don’t believe he would have apologized or fired the aide. This has still not run its course so his intentions and the results are yet to be seen.
