Sarah Palin tweets ‘Rahm, you lie’ after chief of staff’s comments on ABC

Sarah Palin called White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel a liar on Twitter yesterday, saying his comments on ABC’s “This Week” make him shallow, narrow-minded, political and irresponsible.

The former governor of Alaska is apparently outraged over Emanuel telling ABC’s Jake Tapper on Sunday that Republican Rep. Joe Barton’s apology last week to BP was not a slip of the tongue, but a reflection of the “philosophy” of the Republican Party.

“That’s not a political gaffe, those are prepared remarks,” Emanuel said. “That is a philosophy.”

Emanuel added: “They see the aggrieved party here as BP, not the fishermen and the communities down there affected.”

Palin tweeted Sunday afternoon that, “RahmEmanuel= as shallow/narrowminded/political/irresponsible as they come, to falsely claim Barton’s BP comment is ‘GOP philosophy’ Rahm,u lie.”

I disagree with Barton's apology to BP but the Chicago style shakedown part was right on.

So far O seems to be a master at setting up unaccountable slush funds that only he controls. The BP fund looks like yet another one.

In the two months since the blowout began, O has done nothing except impede clean-up efforts. States and communities that have tried to launch their own clean-ups have been shut down repeatedly. Efforts to bring in crews and equipment have been rejected again and again. The only thing O is good at is threatening lawsuits, threatening prosecutions, and setting up slush funds.

Do you think there is any connection between his threats of criminal prosecution, and his demand of a slush fund under political control? It his M.O. The only thing he knows is threats, intimidation, and shake downs. Its what he has done his entire professional life. He does not know how to build things or fix things. He only knows how to demand that others build them or fix them. And cut himself in for a piece of the action on the back side.
