In a stunning revelation at an Arizona town hall meeting this past Friday, Republican Senator Jon Kyl told his constituents that President Obama privately insisted that he will not secure the border until amnesty for illegal aliens passes first. According to Kyl, Obama argued that Democrats would lose their bargaining chips for any type of amnesty if the government beefs up its presence on the chaotic border. “The problem is,” Obama allegedly told Kyl, "If we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support comprehensive immigration reform.”
Transcript (at 3:21):
SEN. JON KYL: I met with the president in the Oval Office, just the two of us… Here’s what the president said. “The problem is,” he said, "If we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support comprehensive immigration reform.”
[gasps from the audience]
KYL: In other words they’re holding it hostage. They don’t want to secure the border unless and until it is combined with comprehensive immigration reform. I explained, “You and I have an obligation to secure the border. That’s an obligation. It also has some potentially positive benefits. You don’t have to have comprehensive immigration to secure the border, but you have to have a secure border to get comprehensive immigration reform. You may be surprised, maybe you don’t think that there’d be any more incentive, but I’m not so sure that that’s true. In any event, it doesn’t matter we’re supposed to secure the border.”
That’s why this is being done. They want to get something in return for doing their duty. And that’s—

That’s right. He, Obama will accuse Sen. Kyle of lying, or will say “He, Sen. Kyle misunderstood”.

This IS treason. He is responsible for the security of the nation and he is flat out taking a pass on it.
The undocumented Muslim is as arrogant as he is stupid. He is saying that he won't perform his sworn duty unless he gets something in return. I believe this man should be impeached.

It would be an encouragement to see Issa and Kyl and any others work together to bring accusations of treason...Issa has the guts.
Screw Obama. If Republicans will stop his attempt at amnesty until November and we do our job as patriotic Americans, Obama will be neutered...politically.
Let’s see, it’s up to our “lords” to instigate impeachment proceedings so why haven’t they? They’ve known this. Time to clean up America from all the trash. Cowards all. They’ve got the power, they just don’t have the guts.
I do believe verily that Barack Hussein Obama will go down in history as the most hated former president ever. I seriously doubt that he will be able to retire in the continental United States.

This is a winning issue, hands down. But there are RINOs in our midst who will run away from it because they want to fold America into their precious new world order. RINOs always reveal themselves when the separate interests of Americans and internationalists conflict. RINOs must be defeated along with their fellow-traveling Democrats.
Obama will first lose his butt in court, over the AZ law.
Then the emboldened states will start enforcing federal law and illegal immigrants will begin to retreat.
Then we’ll be upon the 2012 election and undo EVERYTHING he has done.
In 2013 we will secure our boarders!
McCain, Graham and Lieberman have been say the same thing for years.
Please explain what you mean. Of course, everything in the WH is recorded, but do you mean that somehow there is legal access to a recording?
Access would be critical to exposure and impeachment.
And you know what...he’s probably holding the gulf hostage too. No clean up til they pass cap and tax.
