Napolitano said it is wrong to believe that if security is embraced, liberty is sacrificed.
She added, "We can significantly advance security without having a deleterious impact on individual rights in most instances. At the same time, there are situations where trade-offs are inevitable."

BS!
From the very founding of the nation it was understood:
Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. ~Ben Franklin

It's amazing that the liberals went after Bush for listening in on the foreign side of terrorist phone calls, but they're okay with this.

This from the same people who raised hell when the NSA eavesdropped on an overseas call involving at least one international terrorist?

Bush had the NSA listen in on phone conversations of known Muslim terrorists, and he was Hitler.
The Skunk Haired Lesbian and Obama Hussein are going to take control of the entire internet, and Liberals/Presstitutes are silent.

Of course, when Bush was president and wanted to monitor overseas phone calls, the left was hysterical. Now??? Not so much. It is always and only about ideology with them.

FReepers need to be consistent on this one, the Patriot act was applauded when introduced by Bush. Even as the left howled about potential loss of liberties. We should have joined them in common cause but didn’t do so. Now the Patriot act is no longer “sunsetted”. That is a big effin deal.

The picture comes into focus when one remembers that Napolitano views dangerous radicals to include...
those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.
Along with veterans. The fascists are definitely intent on crushing all dissent in America.

I know it's all staged but, I feel like I'm watching tag team wrestling on TV. So much of the press' duplicitity is like the part where both of the bad-guy wrestlers get in the ring and start working over one of the good-guy wrestlers while the referee has his back turned, giving warnings to the remaining good-guy who just wants to get in and help his partner.
The irony would be comical if it didn't have so grave consequences.

It’s for our safety. If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to worry about. /s
Some of us have warned about giving up liberty for perceived safety for 8 years. Now Napolitano and Holder have the powers of the Patriot Acts 1 and 2 as well as wireless wiretaps and several other bad laws. I hope all the supporters of those laws feel real secure.
