What has happened to our beloved country?
A slim majority of the voting public has become repulsive and frightening.
Translation: We need to stop the internet so the “of the people, by the people” are not able to have a voice. No disention against this regime is allowed.
Possibly; it’s interesting to read the entire Fox story. Fox has definitely gone “soft”; we all know what “homegrown” terrorist is code for.

She doesn't even know what protocol is unless it's provided by someone handling the details for the next big party.

I was a lurker for many years before a single event almost forced me to register and post on FR. I was in the background close to 9 years ago. Avid follower, but no posts/pings.
There was a good amount of talk amoung those active on threads about the “Patriot Act” and other events where “caution” about future administrations was voiced. I have no way of quantifying that, but I distinctly remember the discussion.
That is one thing about this forum, you are always conscious about making a statement that is later made to look foolish by those who are more informed on the topic. It is a very good reality check.

Some of us have warned about giving up liberty for perceived safety for 8 years. Now Napolitano and Holder have the powers of the Patriot Acts 1 and 2 as well as wireless wiretaps and several other bad laws. I hope all the supporters of those laws feel real secure.
Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.
