The whole “no steel structure building ever collapsed by fire” line just shows how stupid they were. I can’t remember who it was, but we have one FReeper who was a fire investigator and posted links to dozens upon dozens of similar structured buildings collapsing in a fire, including one church where you can see the metal rafters twisted and warped by the heat of the fire- a regular structure fire mind you, nothing as dramatic as the jet fuel fire at the twin towers.
There’s no doubt that people WANT to believe stuff like that.
It makes them feel smart & superior.
The alex jones websites tap into that. It’s quite similar to the control methods used at the universities - “if you believe us, you’re smart, if you don’t, you’re dumb”. Everyone wants others to think they’re smart.
Honestly, what is a “truther?” The opposite of a “liar?” (which it should be).
There was asbestos covering the metal, but that was taken off which then made the steel vulnerable.
Horrible irony. 3000 dead because they thought the asbestos was too great a risk.

It’s a waste to try and argue with or educate a “911 Truther-Liar”. Shortly thereafter, we had a fire that destroyed the garage. Afterward, that massive steel spring was so annealed and weakened that I was able to straighten it right out -- with only my bare hands -- and that was after it had cooled...
Don't tell me that fire can't weaken steel!
