Democrats Turn on Obama
Newsmax.com ^ | 6/18/2010 | Dick Morris

Posted on 06/19/2010 3:55:35 AM PDT by SonOfDarkSkies

With each day, 60,000 gallons gush into the Gulf, Obama's equivalent of the body count in Iraq that caused the left to loathe George W. Bush. Rhetoric or programs or visits to the Gulf or posturing won't assuage the negatives. Only plugging the hole in the bottom of the ocean can do it.

The right and center of American politics turned off Obama over healthcare. And now the left is leaving him over the oil spill.

Why can't Obama plug the hole?

Because he has no administrative experience. I often saw Bill Clinton, as governor and as president, call in experts and ask the tough questions when he faced a new disaster. In Arkansas, it was tornadoes or floods or fires. In Washington, it was Oklahoma City.

But, each time, Clinton thoroughly familiarized himself with all the technical issues. He took a bath in the science and substance of the hazard and became as knowledgeable as those who had spent a lifetime studying it. So he knew what questions to ask.

Any CEO or COO or manager has similar experience. But a community organizer, law professor, state senator, U.S. senator, and president doesn't have the requisite experience. He doesn't know not to trust his own bureaucracy. He hasn't been burned enough to realize that he needs to intervene to waive restrictions, set aside regulations, and open up the process to new solutions.

“He hasn’t been burned enough to realize that he needs to intervene to waive restrictions, set aside regulations, and open up the process to new solutions.”

It’s more a matter of intent than ability.

Dick Morris is saying that Obama’s lack of experience is hampering him in dealing with the gulf oil spill. I say that his inexperience DOESN’T MATTER. He doesn’t want to fix the problem since every crisis is an opportunity to reshape the country according to his vision.

Obama wants the oils spill to be the biggest possible disaster. He is actively blocking attempts to address the problem.

He has launched a PR campaign to destroy BP. Obama wants BP to collapse financially so they cannot pay for making things right. The crisis needs to be prolonged forever if possible to further his Fascist agenda.

He’s only not completely ignoring the gulf because he isn’t able to. If he could, he’d completely overlook the oil spill.

Dick Morris has put his figure on something fundamental with respect to the left on this issue. Environmentalism we know is a substitute for faith among leftists, therefore, to disfigure the landscape is the equivalent of profaning a holy place.

Obama is failing to show sufficient piety about the environment but this word does not exist in the leftists' vocabulary so they resort to "competence."

Both Katrina and the oil spill were metaphors for other issues which caused unease in the electorate. Katrina was a metaphor for the Iraq war which was going badly for a long time and had been mismanaged and for which there did not seem, at the time, to be a way out. The Bush administration looked hapless.

Equally, the Gulf oil spill for common sense people it is a metaphor for the entire misplaced actions of this Obama administration.

He's definitely evil.

In fact, I used to think Obama might even be the AntiChrist.

But his profound stupidity, on display daily, makes me think that if he is the AC, he will need a brain transplant (or his intellect will have to be supplied by Lucifer via an overwhelming possession of his spirit).

As far as the savy “Independents” go, come election day they will be back in the fold. The Democrat Party will promise them something for nothing.

We lost the Independents and undecideds because their main concerns were jobs and the economy, while all our side wanted to talk about was HUSSEIN-WRIGHT-AYERS. If we're gong to win in 2010 and 2012, we have to have answers for the issues THEY care about.

I didn't say he was right in this case.

That said, I do know of several of his former supporters who have abandoned him. And I hear the environmentalists are getting angrier by the day.

Professors will never abandon him (nor will the unions), but some trust fund babies (as a former Noo Yawker, I know plenty of them) are increasingly p!ssed as he damages the economy and the environment.

OOOPS! Let me clarify...

I didn't say he (MORRIS) was right in this case.

That said, I do know of several of his (OBAMA'S) former supporters who have abandoned him.

november is fast approaching.
Will be fun to watch obammy lose his majority
Let’s see how he handles a defiant congress, one that doesn’t worship his marxist doctrine.

He'll just hit the campaign trail permanently and whine that the evil Republicans won't let him do his job.

With a fawning media, it might be effective.

And He has not shown up at a non scripted event in months.Just let’s see how he is accepted by a crowd not handpicked.

Dittoes on your take. Obama is nothing but an ideologue and he has surrounded himself with ideologues - that’s the way ideologues work. They don’t want anyone with executive or practical experience to get in the way of of the agenda. There’s no one in Obama’s circle that has a clue about handling real world situations. They’ve always sat in ivory towers, spewing their nonsense and raking in the dough.

Obama just wants to “be” president, not “do” president.

There’s no doubt Obama will be the nominee in 2012, but will he go the way of Carter? I think so.

I’m just curious as to how long Obama believed “stupid” would last as public policy?

Heheh...and let's see how he handles of the subpoenas that Darrell Issa is preparing.

I would love to see Obama end up in a jail cell! That would wipe that silly grin off his ugly mug!

That said, I don't know if he's calling this one right.

He's calling it right. Just as the right became disenchanted with President Bush over amnesty, the left will become disenchanted with Obama over this oil spill.

Deliberate is my opinion to take more control faster. We are on the brink of the Obama Depression. Out of work people get desperate and angry.
