Democrats Turn on Obama
Newsmax.com ^ | 6/18/2010 | Dick Morris

Posted on 06/19/2010 3:55:35 AM PDT by SonOfDarkSkies

With each day, 60,000 gallons gush into the Gulf, Obama's equivalent of the body count in Iraq that caused the left to loathe George W. Bush. Rhetoric or programs or visits to the Gulf or posturing won't assuage the negatives. Only plugging the hole in the bottom of the ocean can do it.

The right and center of American politics turned off Obama over healthcare. And now the left is leaving him over the oil spill.

Why can't Obama plug the hole?

Because he has no administrative experience. I often saw Bill Clinton, as governor and as president, call in experts and ask the tough questions when he faced a new disaster. In Arkansas, it was tornadoes or floods or fires. In Washington, it was Oklahoma City.

But, each time, Clinton thoroughly familiarized himself with all the technical issues. He took a bath in the science and substance of the hazard and became as knowledgeable as those who had spent a lifetime studying it. So he knew what questions to ask.

Any CEO or COO or manager has similar experience. But a community organizer, law professor, state senator, U.S. senator, and president doesn't have the requisite experience. He doesn't know not to trust his own bureaucracy. He hasn't been burned enough to realize that he needs to intervene to waive restrictions, set aside regulations, and open up the process to new solutions.

Either he is very incompetent or this is a deliberate effort to -not let a catastrophe go to waste- and gain more government control over the private energy supply.

Obama not only lacks executive, even supervisory, experience...he lacks the drive and intensity that any work-a-day man or woman develops as an accountable employee!

Just think about!

This guy has never had a single job in which he was responsible to a boss for work that required effort, creativity, performance, success.

Even in college, his reputation was affirmative action party-boy...and that is exactly what we are looking at in his handling of the oil spill.

He's lost! Completely lost! Performance is required and he has no idea how to work.

We no longer need to see his transcripts...he's telling us right now what was in them. He's a C-minus student (passing at all only because his professors didn't want to fail a well-spoken half minority boy who smiled a lot).

“Turning” on him doesn’t mean a thing if they aren’t going to stand and openly dennounce him and the radical marxists that took them to power. That means exposing Obama and telling America that they fear the SEIU/ACORN thugs that he uses.

Its the issue of Obamas extreme narcissism combined with the fact that his world and position in life is built solely upon lies and deceit, he was passed through to be POTUS because the SCOTUS was afraid the country would riot if Obama was denied his ascension.

And Obama cannot allow himself to be around “experts” that makes him look more like an amateur, all his staff have been promoted into position solely based not upon expertise but for ideology.

A failed marxist socilistic ideolgy rife with past historical failures.

America has no president, he failed to qualify, he has failed to even act out the role.

Good executives let the most qualified and knowledgeable people deal with problems. They stand out of the way and ask the question "Are there obstacles in your way that I can help remove?" Good executives then play traffic cop to make sure the various parties involved cooperate.

Obama has treated this as a political issue from day one, which means he has maneuvered to place blame. Instead of getting the government out of the way, Obama has encouraged government intervention which has created obstacles and delays. We have many government agencies working at cross purposes and preventing BP and other parties from resolving the problems. I don't know how this could have been handled any worse.

I would submit that during the campaign Sarah Palin got burned once or twice. The media really, really hyped those events. But when she went into the debates, she had immersed herself as best she could in the time she had, to face off with Biden.

0bama on the other hand spoke real well and sounded real good like a politician should, but missed a lot of the subject matter.

This is a character flaw of 0bama. Dick Morris attempts to spin this, but it is a deadly flaw. I stated a few days ago President Bush would have immersed himself in the situation. While many look to Katrina to point the finger...I say look to 9/11.

Palin would be behind McCain right now running this oil spill clean-up. She would be directing, advising, and accepting the success and failure of the government actions. Maybe things would be better, maybe they wouldn't be...but I think we would have confidence in what is trying to be done.

There would not have been a congressional waste of time on the Hill this week. Those kinds of things can wait until the crisis has passed...you never hold those things in the middle of an on-going emergency. We would have not witnessed skimmers yanked off the water. So much would have been and efforts would be different.

In many ways 0bama is in over his head. I submit to a degree the media is responsible. Responsible for hiding this character flaw, responsible for hiding his inexperience, responsible for the propaganda that got this fool elected.

Disagree with you here. I would not underestimate the man’s drive. From what I’ve seen, it takes almost superhuman drive and focus to get though a successful Presidential campaign. What I suspect is true is that he is a big picture guy, and not a details person. In short, he relies on others (e.g., Rahm, Pelosi, Reid, Axelrod, etc) to execute his vision.

Unfortunately, that vision more closely matches that of Stalin, Mao, Mussolini, and Chavez than it does Madison, Jefferson, or Washington.

The man's a commie, through and through.

Community organizer = community leader.
Al Sharpton is often referred to as a “community leader”.

That says it all does it not?

You make a good point, but I am thinking the Democratic party has plenty of old farms hands that know well the Presidential campaigning business.

During the campaign, Obama was the Product being sold. All he had to do was drive himself to deliver speeches via teleprompter (and that does take a kind of drive).

Also, the Obama brand of campaigning was to tell lies to each separate constituency (ala Alinsky).

During the campaign, he was a cog in the wheel (albeit the most visible one)...he had to rely on folks who had real experience.

Once he became president, he became the boss...the CEO.

And only person in the Democratic party that has REAL CEO experience in the Oval Office is Bill Clinton...and Obama won't and can't turn to Clinton.

But good executives, in addition to being good delegators (as you say), also have to be good decision makers at the macro level and that requires an ability to digest a huge amount of information and still see the big picture...and what must be done at that level to achieve the objective.

Obama is a professorial type...all he knows is spewing talk for which he is, in the end, unaccountable!

Executive performance is completely alien to him and at some point his narcissistic self-image as the messiah will begin to strain and tiny cracks will begin to emerge.

It is Dick Morris. When has Morris ever been right?

As long as obama is doing everything in his power to destroy the United States, the Demoicrat Party will never turn on him.

As for fools who vote Democrat turning on him, forget that, they vote as they are told.

As far as the savy “Independents” go, come election day they will be back in the fold. The Democrat Party will promise them something for nothing.

Morris has called it right about Obama plenty of times (I guess that's why he's now a Fox contributor;-)).

That said, I don't know if he's calling this one right.
