Sally Quinn: Hillary Clinton should be Obama's vice president
The Washington Post ^ | June 18, 2010 | Sally Quinn

Posted on 06/17/2010 11:58:56 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden should switch jobs.

Really.

It makes sense for the Democrats, actually. Clinton has done an incredible job as secretary of state. First of all, she has worked harder than anyone should ever be expected to. She has managed to do the impossible: She is the ambassador of the United States to the world, maintaining her credibility while playing the bad guy to President Obama's good guy, such as with North Korea, Iran and Israel, and still looking good. She has been a true team player. If Clinton is dissatisfied with her role, you would never know it. She has been loyal and supportive to the president and has maintained a good relationship with him and with others in the White House. If she is being left out of the policymaking, or being sent on trips to keep her out of town, she has not shown it. She is cheerful, thoughtful, serious and diligent. There are no horror stories about her coming out of the State Department. Most notable, though, is that Bill Clinton has not been the problem that so many anticipated. He has been supportive of her and of Obama, and he has stayed out of the limelight and been discreet about his own life.

In short, the arguments against Hillary Clinton being Obama's vice president have pretty much evaporated.

So, what kind of running mate would she be? We've seen the team player. Now consider Hillary the Democratic campaigner. She is tireless and relentless.(continued)

They are working up to saying it. As if Hillary were VP this time then in 2012 she’d be ‘ready for president. Give it a few more months and it will be out in the open.
That will be 50 cents, please (*my late night rate for prognostications*)

Hillary does not “play” the bad guy.

They’re not coordinating.

After all the recent work the WaPo has put into building Biden back up I thought they meant to take down O and install him in the throne.

This is some sort of weird trial balloon.

From the article: "Most important, were she vice president and Obama were for some reason not able to fulfill his term, she would be ready to step in."

Two things appear to be going on now:

1. Biden is being made (by the media) to look "presidential" (e.g. his Memorial Day appearance).

2. Clinton is being asked by BO to sue Arizona for its anti-illegal immigration law (which is essentially the same as the federal law that is not being enforced).

Wait, something else.

There's a thread over at Hillbuzz about how Clinton should wait until 2016 to attempt another presidential run.

What is behind the request for Hillary to sue AZ?
The part about ‘...Obama were for some reason not able to fulfill his term, she would be ready to step in’ is scary. First time I realized that this particular freak scenario means we get Hillary without an election.
And it could hint that the Dems would actually try to pull Obama off the stage or that he is petulantly tired of ‘playing the part’ or is threatened with blackmail of epic proportions. *my tin foil hat slips forward covering one eye but I automatically flick it back into place with foil covered tongs*

Clinton has done an incredible job as secretary of state.

There are two kinds of "incredible," Sally. "Incredibly bad" is the one you are looking at. She has lost more respect for the US than anyone could have dreamed of.

Sorry, I should have re-worded that.

Clinton was just relaying the news about BO wanting to sue AZ.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/wire/sns-ap-us-immigration-law-clinton,0,1552596.story

"The [Justice] department has been looking at the law for weeks for possible civil rights violations, with an eye toward a possible court challenge.

"It's unclear why Clinton made the comment since it's not her area. She couldn't be reached Thursday for comment."

Here it starts.

They see Obama is a disaster, but Biden is not presidential material. If Hillary were to get into the vice presidency, Obama look out. Suddenly it would be discovered he WASN’T born in Hawaii, or some such, and instead of circling the wagons around Obama (which is what the MSM normally does to protect dems), Hillary would be the new saviour of the dems.

... but importantly, she would neutralize the effect of Sarah Palin. Whatever Palin came up with, Hillary could best her -- and the Tea Party crowd as well. The Republicans would lose their "year of the woman" argument.

Quinn is an idiot, and much worse of course, but seems like some are starting to sweat .... about Obama on the one hand, and Palin on the other.

Well Sally, it is one way to get rid of ZERO.

It sounds as if Sally sees Hillary as the next POTUS. And if anything unfortunate should happen to Obama, (God forbid), she’d be President without the bother of an election. This would save the democratic party from extinction or until Hillary harnesses the new illegal alien vote, estimated at 30 million or so. That, along with Acorn (or whatever they’re calling themselves now), and assorted Obama Storm Troopers, not to mention the voting dead and incarcerated felons, would insure dems in power for the foreseeable future.

The world is laughing at us and they think Hillary’s done a stellar job. Iran, North Korea, Turkey, Brazil, China, Israel, ... the list goes on and on. And they think the SecState has been wonderful.

To liberals, loyalty MUST be more important than substance, because their philosophies simply don’t work.

Better solution...remove Obama from power and put him in prison for his crimes.

She should be in jail. Remember thar bool ‘’Criswel Predicts’’? It came out in the 70s, I think. He predicted a future prez. would be nothing more than crimminal. I don’t think he predicted that the SCOTUS, CIA, FBI. DOJ,,ETC. would support treason in the future. He wold be stunned to see what is going on now.

/snicker

Is this author really so clueless as to think that this administration - and thus by extension Clinton - has been anything but an unmitigated failure with North Korea, Iran, and Israel?

Whatever that author's been smoking is most definitely illegal.

You can use it to buy a ticket on the bandwagon. As chasio649 pointed out above...

Ahhhh...it’s starting to make sense now...think about it....others on FR have already figured it out.

:-)

If O is ever removed from office we will have bigger problems than any of this. We would be looking at Rodney King era riots in every city in the country.
