Given the current draconian measure of implementing nude body scanners in the UK, Muslims and others are being forced to shed the notion of decency and be exposed to strangers all in the pretext of maintaining ‘acceptable levels of security’.
Airport staff have been using the scanners for personal gratification, an abhorrent phenomenon. It is seemingly acceptable to view the genitalia of all, including our children.
The new Conservative government has now withdrawn ID cards out of concern for civil liberties, yet turns its attention from our personal information to our naked bodies.
It is offensive that the government resort to such lowly tactics to deal with terrorism. .....but what for the government who now want to see our children naked?
....even the US allows individuals who refuse a scan to be patted down instead.

2. Why is it ok to have some stranger do a “pat down” search of your children, but not ok to do a visual scan?

I’m not Muslim and I agree with the sentiments behind the Fatwa. It’s already been publicized in the US that some TSA workers have gotten their jollies looking at the nude scans. Why should we assume things will be different elsewhere? What do you think about having complete strangers looking at nude movies of yourselves and your children as you walk through the security checkpoint? Personally, I find it intrusive and creepy.

The war on terror is over, the baddies won because political correctness did not recognize Islamic supremacists as an intolerant lot who do not permit likewise openness and religious freedom in muslim ruled nations.
Well birds and Mohammed. I've seen numerous scientific challenges to Jesus' miracles in Western media but never have run across a dispute against the claim that Mohammed rode into heaven on horseback, certianly not one published/aired during ramadan.
Ok then they get a choice either the scanner or a nude body exam but one of the two has to happen before boarding. The nude body exam will cost more so if that is the way you want to go your ticket price should go up too.

This should pose no problem. On refusing to enter the body scanner, they should be escorted to a tiny room where an inspector will be snapping on latex gloves in preparation for a full body search and pat down to include a body cavity search. That should meet the stringent demands of security and help speed them on their way to their destination instead of on their way to Allah and the 72 virgins.
