Vice President Joe Biden today will kick off the Obama administration’s “Recovery Summer,” a six-week-long push designed to highlight the jobs accompanying a surge in stimulus-funded projects to improve highways, parks, drinking water and other public works.
David Axelrod, a senior adviser to the president, said: “This summer will be the most active Recovery Act season yet, with thousands of highly-visible road, bridge, water and other infrastructure projects breaking ground across the country, giving the American people a first-hand look at the Recovery Act in their own backyards and making it crystal clear what the cost would have been of doing nothing.”
Biden, President Barack Obama and other administration officials will travel to more than two dozen Recovery Act project sites in coming weeks. On Friday, the president will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to mark the groundbreaking of the 10,000th Recovery Act road project to get under way.

But I bet I’d take YOUR work ethic, character, and self-esteem over his any day of the week. A life of ease and cradle-to-grave benefits SOUNDS appealing. But, like being on vacation, after a while most of us are reminded that there is no substitute for meaningful work.
Can you imagine the derision and ridicule that the MSM and popular culture would have unleashed on Bush had he done anything like this? Sheesh...

These people are so OBVIOUS it is sickening. Politicians used to do this stuff in the dark ... these people do it in the light of day! The “conspiracy rumor” was that they would save a bunch of TARP funds for right before an election, so they could buy votes by doing “works” that would please people right before the election. We all sat back and smiled, great conspiracy theory ... ha ha ... but it wasn’t a “theory” was it? ... its was REAL and here it is. Absolutely amazing. (Thanks to Politico for pointing out this one).
Before we know it, we’ll be sitting around the radio with a Fireside Chat, listening to all the great things being done by our government with our...errr....THEIR money! He’ll hold them daily and tell us how great we’re ALL pulling together!
Of course, when this admin pulls it off, it will be mandatory. Any offenders will be hanged.

Obama and Biden are recovering with a long summer of golf, parties, etc.
Obama is sending Sen Quitter Dodd to chair the US delegation to Mexico-U.S. Interparliamentary Group. Dodd will bring the following messages from Obama:
(1) Start increasing the flow of Mexicans into the US for the Nov elections;
(2) Station federales at the border with these Democrat party voter registration forms;
(3) Obama sends application forms for Social Security benefits, SSI apps for the wife, kids and senior relatives, welfare forms, food stamps, EITC apps, lists of free healthcare providers, drivers licenses and passports, sub-prime mortgage apps, bank accounts for every identity, and gun and machete permits.
(4) Lists of Democrat campaign committees taking donations from drug lords.
Apparently, they can’t find time to outline a coherent transportation policy and get the six-year highway/transit bill through Congress, despite the fact it has expired already.
There is a major infrastructure proposal for true high speed rail in critical corridors emerging from the engineering and transportation communities, but all this administration can talk about is windmills and solar panels, stuff that will never address our energy independence. Meanwhile, we have a hole in the Gulf of Mexico due to 30 years of liberals killing any nuclear power plants.
ROTFLOL! Are these guys kidding? We can officially certify Obama as a loon now.

* 5 red states have the oil slick, purposely being affected with a slow clean up to punish them

* Soros’ Petrobas still drills off our coast as does China
* Alaska red state so no drilling
* stuff still dies and decays, so oil is renewable as is natural gas
* job loss rising purposely
* BP’s pension being destroyed to teach the white English a lesson for Kenya colonialism
* Soros and CCX: Hayward is invested, as is Obama, as is Gorelick, who are all on the INDEPENDENT oversight of the $20B BP fund
