Obama, Biden declare 'Recovery Summer'

Vice President Joe Biden today will kick off the Obama administration’s “Recovery Summer,” a six-week-long push designed to highlight the jobs accompanying a surge in stimulus-funded projects to improve highways, parks, drinking water and other public works.

David Axelrod, a senior adviser to the president, said: “This summer will be the most active Recovery Act season yet, with thousands of highly-visible road, bridge, water and other infrastructure projects breaking ground across the country, giving the American people a first-hand look at the Recovery Act in their own backyards and making it crystal clear what the cost would have been of doing nothing.”

Biden, President Barack Obama and other administration officials will travel to more than two dozen Recovery Act project sites in coming weeks. On Friday, the president will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to mark the groundbreaking of the 10,000th Recovery Act road project to get under way.

Yeah, I know. The REAL issue was a system that had become corrupt to the extent that a libertine like Nero could get in there. Every day Romans? They had high unemployment due to the continuous importation of slave labor from military conquest. But they were distracted by gladiator events, chariot races, gambling, prostitution, and other vices. Bread was distributed free from the granaries of Egypt. This is what is meant by “bread and circuses”.

The parallels between US and them are not perfect, but they are profound.

Paving accounts for a large part of the gasoline usage. Take that away, and gasoline usage is way down in the tank, pun intended, which is yet another sign of this horrible economy.

But on top of that, petroleum usage at the industrial level is off 16%. That is the important indicator, and it indicates that there is no economic recovery.

Folks, they’ve been “biden” their time these past few months.

They want the people to forget about all the socialist/communist crap they have forced down our throats.

They are now about to inject that trillion dollars into the economy to make it look like they’ve saved the day.

THEY ARE 100% FOCUSED ON THE NOVEMBER ELECTIONS. THEY WANT TO RETAIN POWER SO THAT THEY CAN CONTINUE TO FORCE THEIR SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST CRAP DOWN AMERICA’S THROAT.

The effect of inflation is usually 12-18 months after it is injected into the economy. If they dump those new bills this summer, next summer or the 4th quarter of 2011 will prove to be an economic Armageddon.

But by then it will not matter. They will have pushed through the rest of their radical agenda and, above all, AMNESTY, to ensure that no pissed off Americans can remove the tyrants from office.

Frightening. It seems that conquerors and politicians from ancient history to the present understand that a few free handouts to the people keep them placated while they loot the treasury. With a “black man” in office, a plurality of the black community is content with whatever is going on since whitey still works and pays taxes while they get gov’t cheese.

Maybe my brother’s on to something with being on food stamps. He’s not worked in over 5 years while I’ve busted my hump to pay out 40% of my earnings and lose money on my investments.

Similar to Reagan's theme not too long ago:

recession is when your neighbor loses his job,
depression is when you lose your job, and
recovery is when Obama and the DumbocRATS lose theirs.

In other news, we are at war with EastAsia and have always been at war with EastAsia. Monthly chocolate rations have been increased to 21 grams.

So in keeping with post #47, recovery summer would mean they finally remove Obama as an impostor and enemy of the Constitution from the White House.

“....giving the American people a first-hand look at the Recovery Act in their own backyards....” where they can sit and gaze wondrously as they have no jobs of their own to go to.

What a joke!

You’ll love this...

Here in Florida they have what is billed as FBTW (Florida Back to Work) job offerings. Among these jobs are those which require experience and education. For example - Construction Inspector, Laser Instrument Operators, Quality Tech, Forklift Operator, Network Specialist, Transport Driver, Housing Administrator, Grant Writer, CNC Machinist...just to name a few.

The catch is you must meet certain (all) requirements - I am not making this up........you must be pregnant, be in school and receiving welfare to qualify.
I kid you not.

government run amok

Likewise, I’ve looked for information on how the the average conservative German functioned as (the name that cannot be spoken) came to power. So far I haven’t been able to find anything. But surely EVERYONE wasn’t fooled. Surely there were people who were warning others and not falling prey to the mesmerizing hype. I’m not talking about the Niemollers and Bonhoeffers, but the “average” German citizen. In a population of 80 million, you’d think there would be more easily available stories. Maybe I’m not looking in the right places.

It was a 2010 political slush fund. “

This will make the WPA(aka We piddle around)look like a Boy Scout project.
