Arizona Governor Blasts Eric Holder
Human Events ^ | 06/16/2010 | John Gizzi

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer scolded Atty. Gen. Eric Holder for holding open the prospect of a lawsuit when Arizona is already facing five legal challenges over the state's new immigration law.

"I would much prefer for them not to file suit, given the fact that they could take the money and help me build a fence on my border," Brewer said in an interview with three HUMAN EVENTS editors by phone from Phoenix.

Brewer also said she has decided to bypass her state's top law enforcement official and hire private counsel to defend new immigration legislation in court because her attorney general opposes the measure.

Brewer has been in the national spotlight since her state enacted legislation authorizing law enforcement officials to question people they detain as to whether they are legal U.S. residents.

Brewer mentioned opposition to what is increasingly called "the Arizona laws" from fellow governors on border states, notably Democrat Bill Richardson of New Mexico and Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger of California. Brewer said she knew Schwarzenegger didn't know what was in the bill because "he figured what he read in the paper was exactly what the bill said."

How could not REVERE a woman that pulls no punches with this sissy man RINO governor?

It’s a little too early to predict the outcome, but it is surely a good sign. Denish (the Dem) is getting lots of outside money to push her “I’m not Bill Richardson” message out but she can’t get away from him that easily.

The worst scenario for Martinez is if Richardson resigns before November to take a position in Obama’s administration and Denish gets some time under her belt. I consider that unlikely as he has baggage (possible corruption charges at worst and cronyism at best [for him]) that Obama doesn’t need to deal with right now.

Arizona should invoke Article IV Section 4:

"The United States shall . . . protect each of them [states] against invasion;"

It would create wonderful problems for the rats.

So, how many states will be joining her?

The last count I saw was eighteen.

Exactly. But some people here like to drive wedges in the conservative movement so they can appear to be smarter and have the idea first.

Brewer, Palin and Bachmann are leading the way, but where are the GOP men?

Steele's got them in a lock box.

As a Canadian observer it looks like the White House is attacking the USA. How strange and scarey.

Is Obama looking for a chance to bring in Martial Law before the Nov. elections. If he did that there won’t be an election.

He and his mob is inciting insurrection, division and racial hatred. WTH?

Republican Governor of New Jersey Christie is better than even those GOP women Palin, Bachman, Brewer, are and better than any democrat. Many “conservatives” even on this site of you want to find anything to bash the GOP with. I KNOW that even if Every single Republican politician were more anti-illegal immigration than Tancredo or this Arizona Governor and for limited government more-so than Reagan and more conservative than Reagan on every other issue many of you would find a Republican that 20 years endorsed some RINO so then you insanely put that out as a reason why ALL Republicans or Republicans in general must be opposed and that Republicans in general are the same as the democrats/marxists who are the ones really destroying the U.S.. Many of these conservatives who hate the GOP are severely brainwashed by the lame-stream media or are really democrats/liberals/marxists.
