The president still has given no impression that plugging the leak is his highest priority. Instead, we get weakness, ideology, and no identifiable plan.....

I don’t think you can say that Ubama is as good a president as Jummy Carter was. :)
I just have to say that I am really enjoying these various articles and headlines today. That said, it is sad for America.
My intention was to say exactly what you have said.
I wonder... was last night’s speech Obama’s equivalent of Cater’s speech after the failed Iran hostage rescue attempt?

OBAMALAISE - Can you feel it?!
we are leaderless and adrift, in a sea of oil. The owl and the pussycat would be better than the howl and the pu**y we got
Rush just played the clips. Cheese and crackers!
You or anyone else... feel free to use the link to Obama’s full text speech and that FReeper thread — anywhere you want ... no problem from me ... :-)
Thanks for helping out ...
As usual, they are overselling Obama. A return to Jimmy Carter would be an improvement.
In 1979 the Department of Energy was created by Jimmy Carter and a Democrat super majority Congress to end the US dependence on foreign sources of oil and transition us to “renewable energy sources”
Yet despite trillions of dollars spent and nothing at all accomplished, last night Dear Reader purposed to rededicate the US government to the same policies the Department of Energy was created to fix in 1979!
31 years of grotesque failure on Energy policy should be enough to penetrate even the welded shut minds of the Progressive Fascists running the Democrat Party
The defeatist Carter put on a sweater and sat closer to the wood fire.
The corresponding apropos metaphor for today’s “crisis” with its threatened shortage of oil, would be Zero’s skinny ass on a rickety bicycle commuting to his executive duties around DC.
All of his life has been an unmerited promotion simply because he is black. He was elected because of some sort of psychological spasm by a portion of the electorate coupled with glibness and deceit elevated by the media into profundity.
i live in florida.
i called my representative (and the one next door)... and the governor’s office. i asked that the representative/governor should get outraged over the lack of response by the office of the president on the oil spill... a matter that directly impacts the area. how his lack of response is directly tied to the scale of the disaster.
they couldn’t care less. they were bored with my request.
and on top of that... they were insistent that i give my contact information (who are you?? etheridge anyone)... saying that if i did not, they couldn’t pass along the information. (yea.. not volunteering my info these days)
only thing that perked their interest was the suggestion that they look into oil spill liability trust fund (OSLTF). thye heard it had $1.5 billion and they started typing feverishly.
freakin vultures.
