Glad to see Hendrix as #1.
He belongs there.
However, no mention of Bill Nelson. Which says the list makers are ignoramuses.

Actually Glen Campbell and that other country star(I just can’t remember his name)are among the best. They are real naturals.

What a load.
There some good guitarists on the list, but the order is whacked.

Kurt Cobain? Jack White at 13, please.
No Seve Vai, no Paul Gilbert, No Buckethead, No Mark Tremonti There's not a shredder on the list.
No Tommy Emmanuel? Good grief
Best guitarist no one has ever heard of, Doyle Bramhall (sp>). Check out his work on the Roger Waters "In The Flesh" tour DVD. He's insane.
Plus, I'd exchange Chuck Berry with Stevie Ray Vaughn. No way does Vaughn deserve to be out of the top 10.

Considering it is a reader poll, I’m amazed Segovia even made the list.

HUGE EPIC FAIL - for real!!!!!!!!!!
Keith Richards ahead of Jeff Beck? I think not.
Clemenza - Excellent points about George and Terry Kath.
No Santana?

"Any list is not right if Carlos Santana is not included." Good pick-up. I didn't see him either. He and Knopfer are both off the list, which is ridiculous.

These lists are just popularity contests - attempting to apply an objective ranking to a highly subjective art form. Sells magazines, I guess...

Wow! Gibson did themselves no favors with this.
That Kurt Cobain is 49th ought to tell you something.
Gotta stop studying this joke of a list.

Yeah, Carlos Santana is great! He has the most distinctive style of play, you can identify his guitar playing right away. No Joe Satriani either, oh well. They have Frank Zappa listed??? I love his old songs, but I thing his writing skill tops his musicianship.
