* Police discuss Surprise mom who chose to leave kids to become stripper
SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Police officers arrested a 29-year-old Surprise woman after she reportedly told police she didn't want her children any longer and punched her 11-year-old son in the stomach in front of officers.
On Friday, police received a call from an 11-year-old boy who said his mother was packing and moving to California and wasn't taking him or his 6-year-old brother with her.
When police officers arrived, they contacted the 11-year-old outside the family's apartment in the 16600 block of North Greasewood Street.
According to police spokesman Sgt. Mark Ortega, the boy's mother, Christina Muniz, came out and told officers that she was "sick of her children" and wanted the police to take them so she can "have fun and play."
Ortega said Muniz told police she wanted to start her life over and follow her dream of wanting to become a stripper and move to California.
The older boy told investigators that he took care of himself and his little brother. He said their mom spent her money on alcohol and there wasn't very much food in the house.
Responding officers contacted Child Protective Services.
Ortega said Muniz continued to be verbally abusive to the children in the presence of CPS and police. She reportedly yelled at the children, cursed at them and told them she did not want them.
As the children were being removed by CPS, the older boy attempted to hug his mom and she punched him in the stomach, according to Ortega.
CPS had been contacted in the past for reports of physical and emotional abuse, but caseworkers said the complaint was unsubstantiated.
Muniz was arrested and charged with child neglect, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Does it really matter? She’s either a piece of trash or not. A couple of months here or there won’t make a difference.
It doesn’t matter to me. My comment was conversational regarding possibilities.
Sorry. I guess I’m a bit slow today. :)
She’s the kind of person moving into California: drug user, making tax free money, and becoming a ward of the state eventually; while a productive, tax paying, business building person moves out.
liberal voter .... guaranteed
Beat me to it.
I didn’t condemn all, I condemned most. They simply aren’t emotionally or financially prepared to deal with raising children, and anyone who thinks more than a small fraction are today is not living in reality. Of course, you are also correct about moral character, too, and lack of that knows no age limits.
Exactly. I have seen people much older who were terrible parents and have seen teens who are great parents.
Ack.
The only strip job she could land would be at the California School for the Blind.
I bet she doesn’t bother to vote which is a good thing.
“Any parent that would let their daughter keep her baby and not give it up is NUTS!”
The girl was 18 when she gave birth, her parents would be charged with kidnapping if they took the baby and further charges if they tried to pass the baby to an adoption agency.
perhaps - but by then the woman probably has a pretty good job and childbirth would interfere, and, even if she (they) decided to have one, would consider one is enough.
The US legal population is not producing enough to maintain it's percentage and we are dwindling. The others are out- producing us.
Families with father, mother and children are the building blocks of a good society, by design.
The onion has the best video about the Kenyan and his teleprompter:
There was a little hiccup yesterday at the White House after President Obama’s home teleprompter reportedly malfunctioned during a family dinner........

How many she decides to have is up to her, but you reinforced my argument, that she would likely be in a more stable position at 25. Recklessly or irresponsibly having children before one is actually ready to do so only causes harm to the children (and often begats a cycle of dysfunction, where children have children and young women become grandparents by their late 20s or early 30s, with most of the children dependent on welfare and absentee fathers, many of whom are in prison).
I salute you, sir. I can match your feat in another 46 years. I look forward to it.
Feel for the kids.
She must have had some serious hatred towards her eyebrows, too.
I always wanted to be a wife and mom. Nobody in my 4th grade class told me that because I was a female, I should be an architect or an astronaut. That's what little girls hear today.
This POS woman has overdosed on reality TV. Either way, I hope she rots in hell. Prayers for those little boys.
I understand. Still, he said “teenager” and not “adult” or “child”.
Glad to hear your kids turned out well, and your motivation was to provide and give as much as you could to them. Unfortunately, your experience is the exception to the rule, especially these days (and too often, where the parent(s) are concerned, it’s usually all about them and doing what feels good — hence the subject of this thread. People that should never have had children in the first place).
I'm sure you have a point, but's it's undoubtedly as convoluted as your post.
