Speaker Nancy Pelosi has decided to follow President Obama's lead in claiming that God directs her lawmaking, invoking the Bible as her legislative roadmap. If a conservative Republican did this, it would be the top of the news.
Recently, Pelosi engaged in a rambling, redundant, somewhat incoherent monologue in which she claimed that "The Word" directed her. She clarified that meant "The Word Made Flesh"-the incarnate Deity-Jesus Christ. She doesn't leave us to surmise, elaborating that she makes policy decisions, "in keeping with the values of Jesus."
However, the place to learn about "The Word" Jesus is to read "The Word," the Bible. As two Christians who read the Bible, we're not sure where in its pages Nancy Pelosi found the inspiration for her top legislative priorities. Since the Bible is the sacred text of the Christian faith, and the exclusive record of the teachings and values of Jesus, where else could she be enlightened to the values of Jesus?
We don't recall ever reading, "Thou shalt require every person to buy health insurance" or "Thou shalt oppose charter schools and home-schooling" in the Bible. We'd have to rename the Ten Commandments the Twelve Commandments instead. How do those Pelosi priorities embody the "values of Jesus?"...

Congress critters and their staffers should be subjected to, at the very least, random drug and alcohol testing at work.
We are because we can possibly hurt someone doing our jobs.
They hurt millions if not billions of people every damn day !
I would bet not many if any could pass a real security background check using the same standards that defense workers, military etc must do every five years. And the 24/7 at and off work standards that MUST be maintained to keep said clearance or access is something the current crop of critters CAN NOT DO !
They associate with criminals and individuals who DO want to overthrow the US.
They take bribes, favoritism in return for classified information.
They all can be blackmailed.
They are not worthy of a position of trust based on their past.
Their finances from when they became polidiots after their first 2 or 4 years etc is almost tenfold their worth . Yep just damn good investmenst there Hillary.....Moooo !
Insanity what our legislative branch has become. Pelosi Inc is proof. Massive reform is needed for all in that profession, from staffers to aides to the polidiots themselves.
But then that is just my own rant on the matter......:o)
