WASHINGTON David Axelrod, President Obamas senior adviser, has added his voice to those saying they smell something fishy in a Democratic primary in South Carolina that selected a jobless man who faces felony obscenity charges as the partys nominee for the Senate.

Calling Al Sharpton... Rev Sharpton... You are wanted on the Black Courtesy Phone... Rev Al... Please.
Axelrod: We know he’s phoney because we’ve already put one in office. We know how it’s done. We fooled the stupid American dimwits into electing a totally UNQUALIFIED street thug from Chicago, so we KNOW how it’s done, and what makes it even worse is he’s copying Obama,...he’s trying to be black!
The primaries are open, and you have to declare which you are voting in when you go to vote. This was a huge primary for the republicans, and you can bet there were likely NO republicans voting on the Dem side that nobody cared about. What you normally see are big numbers of Dems voting in republican primaries (especially presidential), not the other way around.
It is truly amazing how alleged election fraud, when it suddenly hurts democrats, is now news to the NYT.
He is now Congressman Hastings from Florida's 23rd Congressional District, serving his 9th term.
Greene has not been convicted, or even indicted at this point. Democrats need to remember something about innocent until proven guilty.
Whom did Jim Clyburn vote for?
The only reason it’s an issue for Greene is because he isn’t “one of them” and in a position of power with connections. Otherwise they’d be circling the wagons.
Look at the Kennedys with their drugging, drinking/driving and Barney Frank with the male prostitution ring. And Clinton with perjury. And Marion Barry. And... And... And... The Democratic establishment LOVES them.
Imagine if Alvin Greene was the deciding vote to give the Dims a victory in some race in SC, he would be the most brilliant, articulate yet misunderstood man in America, and a war hero to boot, and any criticism of him would be purely based on his skin color.
What the hell is wrong with Axelrod? That description describes the typical RAT politician.
Sounds like a good ‘Rat to me.
Greene is a veteran, a black guy and the zit Axlerod doesn’t like him. Axelrod is a racist.
Obama honcho David Axelrod questioned Greene’s legitimacy. Already there are demands to see his birth certificate.

The double-standard here is breathtaking. You’re a kook if you want proof of Obama’s BC. But it’s OK to use it to disenfranchise voters.
An idiot from Chicago and known socialist/Marxist was the partys nominee for President.
I see a theme here with the Democrats.
You got it.
James Clyburn needs to investigate, all right. He needs to investigate why Democrats would vote for an unknown black, a jobless man accused of a felony, over a qualified white candidate. Rawl is a former circuit court judge, prosecutor and military officer, served in the General Assembly in the early 1970s and 80s, according to his biography on Charleston County's Web site.
Mr. Clyburn, how could your Democrat voters choose Green over Rawl?
Open. But I can’t see there being a large Republican crossover into the Democratic primary for two reasons:
1. Demint is a solid favorite in November regardless of whether he runs against Rawl or Greene. There’s no significant advantage to be gained by putting Greene up there; in fact, Greene will run stronger among black voters and may raise black voter turnout even though he’s clearly a few bricks short of a full load. Democratic blacks will vote for a black candidate over a white candidate if all else is equal, period, full stop. That’s how Greene won.
2. With the hotly-contested Republican governor’s race (the whole Nikki Haley thing), I can’t imagine a lot of Republicans would ditch voting in that primary to cross over and cast a “tee-hee” vote for Greene.
Greene won because nobody knew who Rawl was, black voters are disproportionately active in SC primaries, and Greene is black. It ain’t rocket surgery. Clyburn and Axelrod and the political class are freaking out because the black voters in SC went off-script and didn’t vote for Rawl...which is ironic considering Axelrod was right there and saw the near-100% support that they had for Obama because he was “their” candidate. He thought they’d stay on the plantation and vote for who they were “supposed” to vote for. He was wrong.

I don’t know why they’re so baffled about “how he won.” He won because he’s black and blacks voted for him. That’s kinda how it works round here.
Maybe so, but the question is: How did the voters know he was black?
If you can't answer that, you should be baffled too.
How do you think that voters knew that Greene is black? If he spent no money on his campaign, it seems unlikely that anyone had seen a picture of him, and if people did not know in advance that he was "a few bricks short of a full load", then it appears that he must not have been interviewed on TV or radio.
These guys ought to take a look at New York if they want to know how a guy like this gets elected.
